Sorry for the misleading title. I wanted to use this "D& amp; D"-thing but it was magically turned back into "D&D".

Seriously, gog, can you do something about this? This is annoying as hell when reading through the reviews.
I've actually seen this elsewhere too, e.g. in the biggest Finnish online newspaper (Helsingin Sanomat), if you write to their comment sections of news, there also the same happens, the "et" character gets replaced with that "amp" shit.

I guess all the web development folks know why this is and what setting is wrong or whatever. To me this is similar shit as how some people's emails always became unreadable if they had non-ASCII characters like åöäÅÖÄ. I am unsure if this was due to their email client settings, or if it was caused by some email servers (either at the sending or receiving end).

The whole thing is an XML codepoint, which sort of speaks volumes.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: That's been a problem ever since they wrecked the site for the 10th anniversary a couple of years ago. Before then, this problem did not exist. Once the problem emerged, it retroactively ruined all the reviews that were written before GOG broke the site, not just reviews newly-written after that point in time.

People have complained about this problem in the months and years before this original post was made, but as is typical, GOG completely ignores it.
Because the priority was on autoplaying Youtube videos and Google analytics. How else are they supposed to get data to share with their trusted partners? What do you want, a pleasant and fast shopping experience? You used to be able to go right to a gamepage and click through the screenshots instantly. That simply won't do. The goal is to keep you on the site as long as possible, so it makes perfect sense to slow down the pages with bloat and make the reader squint to figure out what the missing characters in reviews are.

2021AD: Honestly I though this was a thread about Dungeons & Dragons.
