Update: The release date has been pushed back to November 29th.

Nordic has announced a new version of the 1st Darksiders. What will it bring to the table? The following:

PS4, Xbox One and Wii U versions of Darksiders (Wrath of War)
•Native 1080p rendering resolution for console platforms
•4k support and additional video options for PC
•Doubled all the texture resolutions
•Rendering improvements and rework
•Better shadow rendering quality
•Post processing effects
•60 FPS in moment to moment gameplay (PS4, Xbox One, PC, 30 for WiiU)

The new version is set to release on November 29th and it will have the same price, more or less, as the original one ($/€19.99 and £14.99).

I never really liked the original port of Darksiders for running terribly even on PCs which vastly exceeded recommended requirements and I would welcome a better version. Having said that, I'm wary about Nordic's result with the PC version of Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition (on the positive side, it doesn't seem like Gunfire Games is involved in this one).

Needless to say, everyone who is interested remotely in the 1st Darksiders should consider buying it before November 29th, as the original version might vanish from stores, just like the original version of Darksiders 2 did.

Really...another one?! How many editions will they make?!
If they gave people loyalty discount that would be great.
The puns get worse each time
Hope it's free. Don't really feel like giving them money considering D II still has stuff that's broken.
Will it be free for the owners of the current version? Hope so ...
I just want a new Darksiders.

I mean we even know how the 2 remaining Horsemen look like, which weapons they use etc.

Did they fix Darksiders 2, however?

Not as far as I'm aware.

Mm.. that doesn't bode well.
So they are not doing anything with the game, just running it through some algorithms to up the graphics, and then re-releasing it full price. Mmm, let me think should I buy it...
Why work on new games when you can put a little cosmetic surgery on an old game and release it for full price anyway.

I'm yet to even bother finishing DS1 and this isnt helping out much.

That's weird as I asked someone why Darksiders 1 wasn't available anywhere even on Steam a few weeks ago and they told me it was a console-only game. If I read your post correctly you're suggesting that there was a PC version before? Hopefully the new game comes to GOG.

I have the PC version on Steam and GoG. There definitely was a PC version.

It's still available here on GOG even.
