In the comics, war kicks her ass but in the trailer she is being all cocky and arrogant on him.

Fun fact - in the polish language "war" is feminine. As are "death" and "pestilence". So from our perspective, the whole game is a bullshit gender swap :D

But I guess they had to do it. It's a game for boys, not icky girls. They are not even allowed into our treehouse!

Yep, quite often the symbology of war is female, Valkyries in Norse culture, Britannia is a shield and spear wielding statue, Athena in Greek culture.

Anyhows I have no problem with it, much prefer watching a nice looking model running around for hours, its just unsure of what to call them anymore. Maybe the apocalypse family? Or kindred anthrompomorphic end of days persons?

Well technically they haven't since Fury has never been one of the horsemen. At least if you take the source material for granted, as in the bible and not the comic.

As I've written elsewhere, the interesting part is that the only horseman explicitly named in the Bible is Death. Famine, Conquest and War are just popular interpretations.

I'm not really into the Darsiders sourcematerial; so whats up with Famine and Disease; or do 5 Horsemen exist there?

And regarding gender: As godlike apocalyptic beeings can they not choose whatever the fuck they want to look like? Series would most likely had my attention sooner if ppl could choose how their guy/gal looks like ;)

In Darksiders' lore, the Four Horsemen are War, Death, Fury and Strife. No mention of Famine or Pestilence.

Which is a shame as Fury and Strife seem likely to be a little bland whereas Famine and Pestilence could have the potential to be really different and interesting protagonists.
Admittedly I'm not sure how Famine would work but Pestilence should be very doable.

Which is sort of a trademark of humankind, first we "create" some sort of mythology only to fill the gaps later with some meaningless crap which in turn has only one purpose; to make to myth more interesting. And then we go on and exploit this even further by turning it into a circus. Like Christmas or Halloween.
