Alright, GOG. Now's your chance.

Dark Souls is getting a rerelease on all current platforms, including PC. The new version will be running in the Dark Souls 3 engine, and should finally free us from the ghettoness of the current DS1 PC port.

We. Need. This. Game. Here.
But DS 3 had broken poise. Are they going to fix that for this remaster?! DS1 isn't perfect, but it's far preferable to 3 with it's broken poise and 2 with the ridiculous soul memory.

I don't. I've no interest in games that rely on being super-duper difficult as a main selling point.

Way ahead of you: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/dark_souls_remastered

It'd be great if they could bring in King's Field while they're at it. Tenchu, Armored Core, maybe even Metal Wolf Chaos and Shadow Tower Abyss if we're getting crazy. From Software makes good games.
Sitting here waiting for a PC version of Blaster Master Zero. :/
Wasn't the Dark Souls 1 PC port the one which didn't even have 1080p support? Sounds like paying for patches.
I give approximately 0 shits about the remaster (if it's only a graphics/visual overhaul) but having Dark Souls on GOG would be nice. It's been a few years, and if they're worried about needing Steam for the online aspect of the game - Galaxy is a thing. You could play offline without Galaxy, and online with if you want co-op and/or PVP.

Yeh, although no one in their right mind plays that without DSfix these days, which adds 1080 support and removes the horrid 30 FPS cap.
Which is why this "remaster" seems like it'll only make it slightly prettier.

Albeit is fixed by DSFix, the original Dark Souls is a technical mess.

Probably the are going to fully monetize the Switch / PS4 / ONE port releasing a now proper remastered version on PC.
Would be great to have it here, not holding my breath tho.
It's probably too Japanese for GOG's curators.
not really attractive considerung the 40€ price tag for it. (At least for people who own/bought the original game).
With DSfix and some graphic mods DS1 is still beautiful enough anyway

Didn't personally have many issues, other than some crashes (GPU at fault there) and the abysmal FPS in Blighttown, which apparently also happens on consoles, I heard.
Certainly a bad port, yes, and mods don't excuse that.
If you already have it on Steam, usually you will get the remastered version upgrade for free (like Skyrim, Darksiders Bioshock, etc).
They can always give it to Beamdog. They know how to give us an "enhanced edition" :p
A bit off topic, but I love kicking around the dead bodies in Bloodborne. :D
