Someone has posted a short (14 seconds lol) clip.

Characters have blood splatter, something I don`t recall from DSII, although that could just be bad memory.
I ended up loving the first one and spent a terrifying amount of time on it. I need to hurry up and play the second.

Too bad they never brought Demon Souls to PC.

catpower1980: Snif, I thought it was going to be a topic to celebrate the upcoming release but it's just some whining about the UI..... :(

Gotta make a new one on D-day......
It was meant to be for all things DS3`ish, but got side tracked along the way ;p

I just started DSII again, new HDD recently, so lost all my char` progress :$ (had gotten to NG++ I thunk).
Yeah, would think they`d want to release Demon Souls on computer, as loads`ll never played it & would rush to grab that cash cow.

Spoiler free alert! (although it does show two mobs, but that isn`t spoiler...)

DS3 doing what DS games do best, this cracked me up!

Btw Is this possible to try out the beta on PC?
That DS1 was a utter mess.

DS2 was kinda ok.

DS2 First Sin was a cash grab.

Now DS3.... I'm wondering what title will be for it?

Nope.
There is a way to get the game earlier via console, although not a fully patched version:

I found DS1 almost impossible to play with keyboard and mouse. DS2, I did manage to play it after 40 minutes messing with control options. Being optimized to control with a gamepad is one thing, being an utter mess with the keyboard is another. They should have a warning for games that don't work with keyboard, I think, so people like me who don't have a controller can safely avoid them. Yes, the PC does support many control devices, but keyboard and mouse are still the default. And leaving controller prompts for people who are gaming without a controller is indeed lazy.

Control scheme aside, I didn't like dark souls 2 itself, and I have no expectations for anything on that series. So I don't particularly care.

Vanilla version or Scholar Of The First Sin version? I played both and the changes are quite interesting (the path from Aldia's keep to the Ancient Dragon is really designed differently, the dull ember is now located in lost bastille, the Heide knights are now in Heide tower, etc...)

Vanilla game. I didn`t like how they lowered pre-release gfx etc, then charged full (was it full? Don`t quite recall) price for what was near enough a DX11 patch, with some moving about of mobs & the like.

Talking of gfx, does anyone else use the GeDoSaTo tool? & will you be using it for DS3?

Doing full game using it this time & it really does improve the look of things, especially when used with Sweetfx too.
Bumping......

Still 10 hours before it "unlocks" for western countries...... :HYPE: :HYPE: :HYPE: :)
Have fun! Not having started DS2 yet, I won't be playing it for a while.

Speaking of which, I just saw a stream of DS2 where the caster ended up with a nervous breakdown due to the game and audience :(

And actually, I won't even play DS3 on D-day because:

1) waiting for some optimizations patches (system requirements are insane)
2) GOTY edition will eventually come up in one year so more content for lower price
3) After a while, the guides and wiki will be almost complete so I could rely on it to make the experince less painful :)

I beat my first boss 2 months ago. xD
Still haven't come back to it for some reason.
Hope the bosses are not gonna be just guys in Plate Armor and the Dragon bosses are still up to standard.

So is it gonna still be like "select a level" ala Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 2 or is it gonna go back to the "Metroidvania" of Dark Souls 1?

mmm, I guess you're gonna be dissapointed since right from the beginning, there is no "transition" between firelink shrine and the first "true" area (not tutorial area), you just have to teleport there :(

And for the general layout, I saw some bits of current speedruns (yeah, there are people already finishing it under 90 minutes.....) and it seems more like DS2 progression rather than an "all is connected" approach.
