Well, I was undecided for a long time as well, but I went ahead and bought it. In order to make up my mind, I've been reading books from the Valiant HB Bundle and so far I have really enjoyed everything I've read (Shadowman, The Eternal Warrior, Quantum & Woody, and my favorite so far: Archer & Armstrong).

I have skipped all the other Dynamite bundles, expecting a HB Dynamite bundle that would better fit with their previous offerings, but so far it hasn't happened. There may or may not be another Valiant bundle that covers the complete Armor Hunter event and The Delinquents TPB (the two main selling points for me), but I know I am going to read this stuff and enjoy it, so the price seems very reasonable.

I don't expect Comixology to ever offer all this content for such a low price.

Thanks for the feedback. It's appreciated, especially since it's difficult to find opinions on these books.

By the way, DC has announced that September 26, 2015 is Batman Day. I hope we'll get to see lots of nice sales.

Not sure if I'm glad I have this thread favorited or not. Might not have realized the groupees bundle was expiring today and thus might not have surrendered to temptation.

After all, these days I'm just reading comic strips. Namely, Bloom County from the HB, awesome awesome stuff. :)

Aye very true! I Must admit the physical rewards that Groupee's give out - esp for their highest bidding winners always surprises me how generous they are and yet how low the prices are; likely because its not as high profile as Humble - best jump on now when one gets the chance with the Groupees!

And I would prefer the physical comics - but the shipping costs to Germany (over $100 + customs) are definitely too high for me ...

Well, Archer & Armstrong probably can't compare with Fables, but they are good fun, like an 80s action movie. IIRC, the first 2 volumes included in the HB offer a somewhat satisfactory conclusion, while the ending of the third and last volume included in the HB is more frustratingly open, so it might be a good idea to read only volumes 1 and 2 unless you don't mind buying the 14 or 15 remaining issues to know what happens next.

Quantum & Woody, on the other hand, seems to include the whole run (I am still reading Volume 2 at the moment).

Very true. Valiant is only on its first go around. Once guys like IDW and Dark Horse jump in, stuff might get more pricey and end up being much more preview-like (like Humble does)
But then again, perhaps these comic publishers see Groupees as a small sale site, so they are willing to give more at a more reasonable price.

I think for comics the key is that something like a bundle site is an ideal way to get people into a whole range of comics. Dynamite put a lot into their bundles and as a result they've got a slew of different comics with people interested! Were it not for the $200 voucher they gave in as well I'd already be a paying customer on their site as I try to complete some collections and continue reading what I've started. Of course the voucher money won't last forever and then they've got several new customers buying direct into their current series.

I think its also a neat way to kickstart some interest into long-running series. Some people (myself included) like to read things in order and sometimes when you've a long running series the back-log is so huge that it dissuades many from getting started. A Bundle site lets them put a huge block of things into a single easy purchase; even if it doesn't have "all" of it it will often have enough that people feel happy to fill in the few gaps to get the rest; whilst the bundle lets them get a big chunk of stuff all in one go to get hooked.
