I agree that the overlaps make the experience messy. My first thought was to skip the StoryBundle one but given that $5 still might get much more than in a regular Comixology sale and that the StoryBundle ends in three weeks, I'll make a list of new things later and evaluate.

I meant "mad" as in "how can they do that to our wallets - again?!?" ;-) Obviously it's a reasonable decision for them, because otherwise they wouldn't do it after their experiences with Humble Bundle and Groupees.

But still, I think I will pass this time. The bundle surely is worth $5 if you don't have anything out of it but since at least "Project Superpowers", "Legendarry" and "Bob's Burgers" were already bundled before ... I guess I'll rather wait for the next Humble Dynamite Bundle or Groupees Dynamite Bundle in the probably not too distant future. :-)

Those are his first issues doing DD. They are great, but get better, culminating in the Born Again storyline.

Re: Dynamite Bundles

I took a dive into the different bundles and I made a spreadsheet that I thought I could share.

You can skip the explanation and go to the end for the conclusions.

A. The bundles appear as columns in chronological order from left to right.

B. The different comics apear in the first column ordered according to the evaluation of new bundles.

C. All over the spreadsheet you'll see some cells marked in red. Those are issues that don't complete an arc or volume and most likely you'd have to spend more money to complete a story.

D. The blue section is comprised of all the comics from both Humble Bundle's. The ones that say (TOP) are the the ones in the corresponding top tiers. I'm not considering the difference between the lower tiers and middle tiers when there are three of them, sorry.

E. The green section are those comics in the Groupees bundle that are new or had more issues than previous bundles. These are the minimal reasons to have bought the Groupees bundle.

F. The orange section are those comics in the Storybundle that are new or have more issues than previous bundles. These are the minimal reasons to buy the Storybundle.

G. In purple are the comics in the BitTorrent/Comixology bundles that have more issues than previous bundles. Etc.


Conclusions:

1. The BitTorrent bundle and the Comixolgy Mega Bundles (considered as one since Part 1 is free) are almost the same except that the BitTorrent one has two vols. of Vampirella Masters. And the obvious differences of Comixology vs downloadable PDFs and ePub files (No CBZ, by the way). Whatever rocks your boat.

Are they worth it? Not if you got the Humble Bundles and Groupees. If you did not got them all or not complete then you might have to dig into the spreadsheet after all.

2. The Storybundle has more new and unique things than the later ones but it's the most expensive bundle. Check the orange section of the spreadsheet to see if that is worth $15 to you.

Thanks for the spreadsheet. Unfortunately I only bought base bundles, and that's not reflected in there.

Comixology includes both PDF and CBZ, so I think it's the best way to go unless you're a die hard ePub fan.

I'm really tempted to get this on Comixology, since it offers both convenience and the DRM-free formats. I only bought the base bundles of Humble and Groupees, so I'm still missing a lot of stuff.


Edit: Ended up buying it. Comixology really is a great deal when it offers both convenience and DRM-free copies. Although I tried reading something now on a PC monitor, and realised how much worse the experience is compared to my tablet, due to the much lower resolution.

It's Dynamite who's obviously run by sadists.
