maestroruffy: But If you are going to buy comics in a e-shop, they usually have their own reader (Comixology, Dark Horse, etc.)
I see. Thanks for the info!

letsmaybeLP92: so besides not have cbz, how is the Boom bundle content wise?
It seems that all comics in that bundle are now available as "EPUB, PDF, CBZ", so they seem to have fixed that issue.

IMHO the three lowest tiers aren't very good because they are mostly incomplete comics and most of them have been bundled before (Humble Bundle) as well. It gets interesting with the $15 tier with many complete miniseries that are mostly new to bundles. And the $30 tier with three omnibuses (only one bundled before - "Do Androids ...") is the reason I'm still considerung to buy it. Good to see they added the CBZ files.

Yes, a BOOM! representative talked to people on chat and she said that she was going to provide CBZ files to Groupees soon. It seems she delivered.

Seems to have a few repeats, but overall more impressive than the Groupees bundles in terms of what you pay and what you get in return.

Far too many repeats for my liking. But maybe I'll take the $15 tier for the complete "Vampirella Masters" series (only Vol. 1, 2 and 4 have been bundled before), the complete "Red Sonja" series (although I own 12 of the 18 issues from earlier bundles) and "The Last Temptation" (was bundled before but I didn't buy that one).

On the other hand I'm still contemplating to pay $30 for Groupees' BOOM! bundle and I really don't think I will buy both ...
Humble Manga Bundle: Fantasy by Kodansha:

Only "Mushishi" is complete, everything else is still ongoing (except "Battle Angel Alita", but there are only Vol. 1-3 out of 9 included). No rebundling except for "Battle Angel Alita".
Wanted to say thanks Geddes17 for the completion summary information on the Kodansha bundle.

It's a generous offer but if mostly incomplete feels like I'd be stuck with half the story so leaning towards pass.

Well, I liked their previous Humble Bundles more as well since they included more complete series. But considering the amount of mangas you're getting for this low price it still seems like a very good deal. But of course I don't know any of the series (other than by name) and thus I also don't know if they are good or if they offer complete story arcs you can enjoy without owning the complete series ...

Considering some of the series are around here for about 15 years already, though, I guess it should be possible to enjoy them without knowing how it all ends. ;-)
Comixology has a "Dynamite Mega Bundle" for €17,99 / $19,99 - but it's exactly the same as Groupees' "Dynamite Holiday Build a Bundle" from a few weeks ago - only here you have to buy the whole bundle:
https://www.comixology.eu/Dynamite-Mega-Bundle/bundle/1804
I may not like the comic bundles at either Humble or Groupees for the most part, but at least compared to Comixology or other purely comic book sites, they give options for doing smaller teasers for a lower price.
Humble Comics Bundle: "Spawn by Image Comics":
https://www.humblebundle.com/books/spawn-image-comics-books?hmb_source=navbar&hmb_medium=product_tile&hmb_campaign=tile_index_2

Seems like a really good deal: The complete "Spawn Origins" collection is included and only 4 of the 20 volumes have been bundled before.

At Marvel coupon code FOREVER redeems 5 Blank Panther digital comics including:
Black Panther (2005) #1
Black Panther: World of Wakanda (2016) #1
Marvel's Black Panther Prelude (2017) #1
Black Panther (2018) #1
Shuri (2018) #1

Not sure how long it's good for.
After doing my research about the "Spawn" bundle: Although all 20 "Spawn Origins" volumes are included my wording "the complete series" was misleading because those 20 volumes "only" include #1-122 of the still ongoing series. The remaining items include #251-275 and the complete medieval spin-off "The Dark Ages" (#1-28). I would have preferred to not have a gap of more than 100 issues inbetween but I still think it's a very good bundle.

Does anyone know if #251 was something like a deliberate jumping on point for new readers?
