DreamedArtist: Does marvel have any drm free stuff? or is it all tied behind programs...?
BoxOfSnoo: Behind programs, pretty much. However, I buy from Amazon/Comixology and use
https://github.com/Cortys/comic-backup to back up the stuff I bought to (watermarked) cbz files.
One issue with that plugin is that it does not capture the image files at the maximum resolution - they effectively become SD backups. Still, better than nothing, I suppose.
Comixology does offer drm-free versions of select titles here ->
https://www.comixology.com/drm-free-backup In that page, there is a link "shop for drm-free titles" that lists the titles available. These can be downloaded as hi-res cbz files after purchase. No Marvel/DC though. Generally, only smaller publishers like Image, Valiant, IDW and others offer drm free titles - many of these "indie" titles are arguably better than mainstream.
