Today we welcome a major update to the game from CD PROJEKT RED. The newest Patch 1.2 to Cyberpunk 2077 includes many important fixes that will improve the overall gaming experience – their list can be found here. The update will require 35 GB of free disc space to download and around 100 GB to apply the changes.
Apparently the offline installer is already up to date as well? Neat they didn't neglect it.

(I first thought the update is still coming as the CP2077 offline installers are not marked with an update flag, but whatever...)

Zimerius: wait wait... 135 gb's in total of free space ??
I don't think it was that much. It seems galaxy allocated from drive more than that 35 gigs when starting to download so if you can start a download you prob can apply the patch too. Well at least with galaxy.

Since there is a little hope that the guys responsible are watching this thread:

Please do language packs for the offline installer as you did with Witcher 3. Additional 30GB (!) just because of your decision to integrate every language in the offline installer is not acceptacble and not a good idea. Yesterday I was on the brink of buying the game and did not because of this.

oke, good to know, else i had to switch some data to another drive, it wasn't that much of a problem but the realization of what they where truly saying suddenly sank in.

Well it's always a constant fight trying to have over 100 gigs of free space with todays game sizes. =)

Its been the whole reason i decided on putting in a SATA drive with 4 tb's of space, and want a 1 tb replacement for the 2 500 gb m.2's i'm using atm but with money not growing on my back and other life priorities happening all of the time, like they all are all over the place. Windows seems to expect you keep at least 50 gb's of free space on every drive, i won't be surprised if that will be 100 somewhere next year!

StingingVelvet: Are these patches still making the game look worse on PC to improve console and low-end PC performance? That was really annoying when I was playing after release, when every patch made the game look worse.
They really did that? Sounds horrible.

I experienced this with one other game - Hard Reset Redux. The Redux version looks worse than the original game because it was "optimized" for consoles. Luckily, I have a boxed version of the original game so I don't have to play Redux at all.
Those patch notes are longer than George R. R. Martin's manuscript for The Winds of Winter...

To be fair, from what we've seen, so is your post. :)

You saying the 103GBs offline installers contain already all kinds of languages?! ... this would actually mean, I indeed could burn the whole game on a single 100GB XL Blu Ray instead of splitting the package to another disc oO ... if they will provide seperate language packs in the future...
Looks good, downloading now :)
oke, finished the update, i did moved 40 gb after the download commenced just to be on the safe side. ( only 5 gb's of room left after the storage reservation )

extra bonus, played some MoM during the download ( since it is a small game, and the game is stored on a other drive ) and managed to capture a city on the barbarians . \o/

been learning the ropes for a bit and really only lost battles so far !

now to give another character a chance.... something slick .. with fire-arms ... and a corporate pose ;-)

(⊙_⊙;)

uhm, so took on an extra job, started walking.. jumped in exitement ...

oh noes, the game flatlined chumba

That's exactly what I am saying and that is the reason why you can read this on the gamecard:
"70 GB of available space ... (100 GB for offline installer)"

There's also a wishlist entry already (which imo deserves much more votes):
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/separate_the_language_pack_from_offline_installer_in_cyberpunk_2077
So without the 1.2 patch applied, the game occupies 61.6 GB on the HDD. Right now I have 64.5 GB free space (if need be, I can move around some stuff to make more room for this patch).

1. How much space do I need to have in order to download and apply this latest patch?

2. How much space will the game occupy after the patch was applied?
