I'm surprised how much some people dislike first person perspective games. I guess I used to feel similar towards third person but loads of great ones over the years changed my mind on it. Anyway, first person has me even more eager than I was before.

From what I read on here, people just wanted the option to switch to it. A lot of the Bethesda games have done that and I'm sure others have as well. There's nothing wrong with having a game in one perspective but options are always nice.

The way the trend is going on first-person games, I had this one on my list to look forward to as a third person game and a huge deal for me is it being DRM-Free.

That being said, I do look forward to some first-person games, like System Shock which Night Dive is going to remaster but while I can recommend both Cyberpunk 2077 and System Shock to people like you who like first-person games, I myself will have to pass on this until there is a huge discount on it.

So, I'm happy for you. For us that want a shiny new third-person game that is also DRM-Free (I'm picky, I know) we will have to keep looking and that's our side of it and why this saddens us, just a bit. We mean no harm or malice towards people who like first-person perspective.

pigulici: I feel sick when I play games with FPP, so even if I like CDRP and want to give them my money, I will pass, and I am not the only to do that, their toy, their rule, but my money will stay.

Elisebathe: Does that mean that you never played a RPG first person perspective game? Like System Shock? Deus Ex? Prey? Bioshock? S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? and so on? I
Only Deus EX HR, but was hard for me when was only + on the screen, when it is a gun in hands, or something, it is almost ok...even on Witcher 3 , I put MotionSicknessFocusMode on true, so I can enjoy when using witcher special view.

Wait, you really missed those games? You do know that there are mods for that, or that you can edit your ini files to increase your FOV to the max. I also get dizzy if I play a game that's locked on 30 FPS...the weird thing is that if I play a console game that is locked at those frames I am fine. I do not know what is the reason behind it, but you could try playing a game on TV and see if it is the same for you.
well if i could only pick one perspective for this game, it'd be first-person. if somehow a multiplayer component shows up at a later date, i'll be even more happy they did it. i'm hoping the cover system works akin to COJ Blood Brothers. still my favourite of the FPS genre.

that said it's still surprising they didn't give the option. and force the FP where immersion requires it. again if a MP option turned up, i'd wholeheartedly agree with their decision.
