I was searching for a release date, and came across this site:

After very much enjoying the Witcher series, I was looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. Now, not so much. I do not enjoy FPS all that often, but have played them.

Maybe they still have time to allow different camera angles?

Edit: From the clip available, the graphics look amazing. Great work so far!

TBH I am happy it will be an fps, I always found Cyberpunk or these types of settings best suited for fps format, deus ex comes to mind. Hey give it a shot, It's CD red we are talking about. I am sure they did a crazy job to make it fit seamless into each other.

old news :P

yeah, fps+rpg elements. no idea how it's going to turn out. i think the "cinematic" cam isn't representative of the actual game. also, if people are running on console, expect a 30fps cap. of course all this is mostly speculation but there is reasoning behind it.

Yeah, there was quite an uproar from the TPP fans after having been made believed it will have TPP option for a few years. Went so far they even had to forbid TPP talk on the CP forums with threads towards/posts of that being deleted.

Quite a disappointing mess :(

So what? I'm sure there are people wanting to see CP2077 as platformer or an hidden object game.
To be honest, I'd enjoy The Witcher much more if it was FPP. Unlike FPP, there are plenty TPP games you can still enjoy. FPP on the other hand, are mostly infected with loot boxes and with no story line whatsoever.
I'm honestly glad I will get at least one proper FPP game.

Yeah, well. Apparently you will get that. So... have fun? I don't really see to point of that rebuttal. And in case you really don't get it: Envision CP as has been teased as FPP for years and suddenly it gets been announced as TPP only.

Its not about ppl being unhappy that you get a game you like; its about ppl being unhappy about crushing with the hypetrain into a cartoonish painted on the mountain wall tunnel.

And if you feel offended on ppl talking about being disappointed complain to CDPR about not having been upfront honest with the games perspective.

In my opinion, it won't be too far off from Deus Ex formula. Both are first person that switch to 3rd person camera when in dialog. Both are rpg + fps. And I think first person view is the right choice considering weapons in cyberpunk will mostly be guns and Gunplay plays best in first person. Not to mention they can maximize "immersion" by putting player in first person view

Nothing personal. I'm only tired of gamepad generation demanding TPP everywhere. As I stated somewhere else, TPP elements in Deus Ex HR killed the fun for me.
I'm trying to point out, that there are people very happy with CDPR decision about FPP, no need to change that.
And yes, I do hope I will have a great time : )

Personally speaking, if there are guns involved and it is not a top-down game I much prefer first person perspective.

Edit: And I still cannot understand what the big deal with perspectives is.

so you need to gargle the end. maybe the collectors edition contains a bottle of water just incase you need to say its genre.

The less third person elements it has, the better..

I hate how the camera randomly shifts to tpp in DXHR. It's such an immersion breaker.

I kinda accept the first Deus Ex's TPP dialogue, reluctantly. It can look dramatic in certain moments, but I'd still prefer uninterrupted 1st person immersion.
