Basically, yes, Xbox refunds are coming.
I have been looking other sites, though, and this will do a lot of damage to CDPR and, i fear, to GOG also.
The official statements by CDPR admit problems with the console versions and say it didn't have the required dev time after all, but PC version has also a lot of problems and seems like any other lazy "AAA" PC port so i wonder if they just ignore PC version not because it's in a better state, but because they simply are ignoring it in favour of consoles, like it seems :P
I am sure the marketing campaign has taken a big piece of the development budget, also, and sometimes the over-hype they create can be counterproductive and can lead to a disaster (to the point of selling a company to M$, for instance, always hovering like a vulture over opportunities to expand and monopolize)
This also shows the biggest problem (and ironically, the strenght) of this whole system: A developer grows up and needs more money to make big and better games, so it sells itself to some investors. The snowball continues to grow until something bad happens, then it needs just too much money to solve the disaster and goes bankrupt or it's absorved by others, mainly by big publishers. Then the original development company is no more, and so are the good games and the good ideas they had (and the FUN games).
Even if they manage to survive, the good games and good ideas are probably gone anyway because they need to make real big money to mantain the snowball and, for that, they have to make things different (and so we have shallow games, buggy console ports, same gameplay and features copied and pasted from a "AAA" game to another like if they were all using a single manual for development, DRM systems, etc, etc)
Sometimes they become Blizzard, sometimes Bethesda, sometimes Paradox and, sometimes, as i said, they just dissappear (Westwood Studios, Maxis, Ensemble, Telltale, Runic, Pandemic and many other great studios devoured over the years)
Anyway, bad management decisions all around, maybe forced to release anyway without more delays because investors pressure, and this is the result. Let's see if this is not worse than it already seems for the future of both CDPR and GOG, let's hope that's not the case :(

They've got plenty of Yuan coming in from that precious Mainland Taiwan market.

Well, the state of the game is... interesting
:-P.
I have a few observations here. First, CDP is ruining their reputation at supersonic speed right now, and you know what? Rightfully so. For the last several years, every time they did something stupid (be it CDPR or GOG) there was always an army of fanboys defending them no matter what. It's like CDP could do no wrong. I get the impression that CDP was capitalising on that and expected their reputation to carry them regardless of CP2077's state. What they did not expect was the stock market response (see attachment).
My predictions as to what happens next - not much will change. CP2077 will be getting regular patches and may end up being quite polished in 1 - 2 years. I don't expect any changes on management level (maybe they will find one scapegoat to blame). We will hear a lot of soothing words about mistakes being made and determination to improve. Just like we did every time GOG messed something up. The course however will remain mostly the same.
I do however have to point out Sony's hypocrisy here. They knew how the game runs on their hardware and accepted it. Then they refused to give refunds and, after CDP tried to step in, they decided to remove the game from the store (including decent PS5 version), when games in worse state are still available. It looks like everyone is trying to capitalise on the current mess.

Didn't it go "gold" months ago? So yeah it must have been glitchy at that point. But CDPR convinced them that the problems will be fixed before launch. Probably with help of lies that understate the required effort and/or even claim that they've already fixed a bunch of the stuff so it'll be fiiiiiine, don't worry about it. Sony probably trusted CDPR as much as gamers did..

I'm just trying to say that everyone is to blame for what is happening right now.

well. clearly the fault lies in the higher ups. will they get removed from the position or it will be blamed on all those minimum wage employees who worked super long hours to make it work somehow?
The game being in that state is 100 percent responsibilities of the bosses. dont know if they ran out of money and CDPR is on brink of bankruptcy or they just got scared on how many preorders got cancelled after first delay and they wanted that sweet money...
either way. fault lies with them.
such an inept legendary release. such a waste of opportunity.
also im waiting from my gog refund. on pc and its broken for me without ability to make it playable.
and wonder if CP77 disastrous launch will not take GOG down as well.

Aren't you allowed to royally fuck up, apologize for it and carry on making up for your mistakes anymore?
Agree 100%. Firing people doesn't solve the problems they have now. People usually learn from their mistakes. I'd rather work with someone who knows and has felt firsthand how it is when things go wrong, than always hire a new face and see what kind of a blunder they make. For similar reasons, I don't agree with the firing of Linko90..
Firing your own people over mistakes just makes it a toxic workplace I wouldn't want to support. A good place is one that supports you in times like this and lets you come out stronger. Give people a second chance, even a third chance if their mistakes aren't pure idiocy, and more than that when it comes to minor stuff that doesn't harm anyone...

Why is it always that if somebody fucks up everyone and their mother calls and demands for their immediate termination?

I'm not defending them I just find it curious that it's always axing/sacking first, everything else (including reasonable thought) later.
Actually I rather have people working on something who made their share of mistakes in the past because those (with some exceptions) tend to be far more aware of the potential consequences.

the news actually made me produce a sound during the coffee break we had on work....
--- poors himself a coffee
--- sits down
--- lights a cigarette
--- colleague talk
--- grabs phone
--- takes another sip from his coffee
--- launches safari
--- WOW!
poor console newbies

The parrel is telltale games which went bankrupt and damaged the lives of many good people who worked for them.
From what we heard over the years what's happening in cdpr is comparable what was happening there in last few years

CP 2077 is in a much worse situation, as Sony pulled a 3rd party game.
EDIT:
At least w/ AK PC, I could run that on my GTX 960 4GB at 1080p at 25-30fps. Not idle, but it ran.
Of course, not everybody had a 4GB video card at that time...
