RyaReisender: The only thing that worries me is that it's first person and first person games usually make me motion sick unless they are grid based.
This is me. To be honest, I'm much more of a sword and sorcery fan than guns and tech, but this looks really cool and I will probably buy it. How much game play I'll get in is probably more than I should and less than I want...
I dislike firearms; too visceral in first person mode. Top notch game for the fans though!
Doesn't look as good as I hoped. But then again I haven't been much on thse types of single player FP games. I'm sure there are cool moments you see in the game and go "wow". But overall for me that video just shows a typical rundown techno city with very basic gameplay. Any game with good graphics can create a cool environment here and there just for visuals to stare at. It also kinda throws the player in as a lewd character with no way to start in a neutral way to avoid some of the grittier elements. Cool concept and good graphics or visuals in spots, but a very linear progession on open ended city games based on that video. I do love destructible environments, but the gameplay looks like a typical story driven console game.

That's my pre-impression. I will probably skip this like I did the Witcher games unless there are some other game modes or ways to play it. I really want a good cyber punkish game though.

Everything is bad - because I need to wait another year for the game I'm already interested in! :)
Jokes aside - Cyberpunk looks VERY promising so far. My only fear is the main storyline, because, frankly, I was disappointed with Witcher 3 main quests. Wild Hunt and it's intentions were too simple & too straight - no twists, no surprises.
Yeah, so here is the link to the band that did some music: https://soundcloud.com/hyper

and I also cut this one out of trailer: https://imgur.com/a/4wS8oNG
Work in progress is good.. Maybe some hope.

I'll get what I don't like out first.

Graphics limitations towards console strengths.. Sadly pc will be downplayed like the witcher 3 was.

As good as I saw some animations repetition was noticeable. I'm hoping they add more unique animation to walking etc.

Voices. I hope they have a large variety of people voices and not just a selective handful that will kill immersion.. Skyrim best example.

What I liked,

Open world RPG with stats lvling, customization of character, weapons, outfits.
Details to a living world.
Similar to dues-ex combat style game play with multiple directions and outcomes.
Consequences that affect factions and the world around you.

I'll get invested in this game once its gold and bugs are squashed expansions packs are all released then I can invest in a finished game.

Good thing its a wip.. anything is possible still I didn't see the entire game so its hard to have an objective view on it just yet. Cyber punk 2077 looks promising. Keep up the good work CDprojekts.
Certainly looks great. I might try to overcome my dislike of guns and my fear of first person.

Weird that so many character customization options are given but you almost never see your character. I hope this changes over time. Or at least add some mirrors here and there or any reflecting surface so you can see yourself.

MajicMan: Secondly, as with every shooter, the gun mechanics are awful. An entire magazine to put an enemy down with an automatic pistol? Really? Everything is a bullet sponge, but the bullet destroyed the concrete pillar (3.22 in the video) blowing out a chunk of concrete, but a dozen rounds don't take down flesh? So stupid.
1. These enemies is filled with durable implants which is more durable that concrete.

2. Pistol is a weak weapon. Shotgun can kill with one shot tearing enemy apart.

3. Concrete on pillar was in cracks, so it is wasn't that durable. :)

In one of interview devs said that they want to make quests like in W3 addons, not main game. Quote:

At this stage, Mills isn't able to determine how often Cyberpunk 2077's most involving quests pop up, but does liken them to The Witcher 3.

"What I would say is I'd expect something to similar to The Witcher 3," he says. "Particularly in terms of playtime and in terms of quest complexity. Specifically, I'd even look more at the expansions than The Witcher 3 base game because that's really where the quest design philosophy that we're using now came from—it was developed later in the expansions."

And to all who is disliked this reveal read CD Project message:

Sorry to have kept you waiting for this for so long!

Did you like what you saw? Because for us, the fact that we're finally showing you Cyberpunk 2077 is HUGE. Please go to our forums, twitter, facebook, discord, and do tell what you think. Is the game world how you imagined? Do you see what we meant by "immersion" when we talked about CP2077 being an FPP RPG? How does our vision of "cyberpunk by day" make you feel? We really want to know.

Aside from that, we think we owe you a few words of explanation on why we're showing you this gameplay now, some time after industry professionals and media saw it at E3 and gamescom.

Each time we discussed the idea of showing the game to you (and we discussed this idea a lot), we were ending up in this "we're not 100% sure" limbo. Why? Because (for most people), when a game dev shows gameplay footage from their game, it means that this is how the game is going to look or play like. It's not the case here. Cyberpunk 2077 is deep in development. We have a lot of design ideas, a lot of mechanics being playtested, but we don't know what we'll end up with at launch. This makes publishing videos like what you just saw risky --we don't want gamers saying 'but in that previous video that gun was shooting differently', or 'why did you change the interface?'. Change is inherent to game development and there's a ton of things being modified each day. Our fear was (and kind of still is) that you'll think what you just saw is how Cyberpunk 2077 will look like 1:1.

What gave us that extra confidence to show you a work in progress game? Good initial feedback from people who are accustomed to see games at various stages of development. What they told us (and they told us they really liked what they saw) gave us the boost we needed to show the current version of Cyberpunk 2077 to the most passionate and insightful audience - you.

So... here's what Cyberpunk 2077 looks like today (or rather looked like when we recorded the video). We sincerely hope you liked it.

Again, thank you for your patience and all the thoughts you shared with us.

Yours,

CD PROJEKT RED

There is a work in progress, they said this before reveal, posted watermark on screen and this message after reveal. So relax, game will be better in the end!

Given how everyone praised what they saw bhind closed doors it was a bit underwhelming.
Don't get me wrong, it does look very promising (I really like the look of the general gameplay, though I would've loved a cover system, and the general look) but far from the must-have game everyone was talking about.

And in addition to that:
Unfortunatly the first persoon-dialouges (not he gameplay, just the dialouges) seem to be as much of an immersion breaker to me as I was afraid it'd be. (don't attck me now like the people on FB do over this, it's called personal preference).

And the controls seem to be Controller-centric (again) which makes me even more worried about the driving parts in the game. (I won't use a Controller for this game, not-cover-based-shooters just aren't fun to play it with one, again just personal preference)

I really need a playable demo for this game (or a confirmation driving will be 100% optional), as it stands now it's not a game I'd spend the full price on.

Andrey82: So, here is the 48 minutes (!!!) of gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjF9GgrY9c0

What can I say? I love this game already! Yes, I have some worries about car physics, but everything else - I LOVE THIS!!! Will preorder.
Watching it in FULLSCREEN in 1080p because 4k takes aeons to buffer in my ghetto Country
Most impressive!!

I'm going to start saving money for this (and for a new GPU, I guess...)

Can't have your cake and eat it too. Can't do precise aiming with a gamepad, and can't properly control a vehicle with a digital keyboard. This game is going to have both elements, so one or the other is going to feel crappy depending on your choice of input device. My guess is that gamepad controls will work best overall, as that is the most common/popular input form, given that this is a multi-platform release. I also suspect that gun fights will be primarily based on stats and character abilities, not precise aim -- It's not going to be Counterstrike.

Edit: On the other hand, it's not exactly a racing game, either. I think ultimately CDPR will do their best to make the game work well with all common forms of input. They're not the type of dev that releases a game that's barely playable on PC.

Yeah CDPR isn't BETHSOFT or EA, Profanity was a little generic and lacking though, I know how to spice that up with the stuff I've heard.

It's the year of our lord 2077... I hope there's an automatic driving mode in there somewhere. I always hate driving in open world game. I hate riding horses too, but at least I'm not confined in a narrow road with a dozen other horses galloping around.
