Paul Naschy's El Carnival De Las Bestias/Human Beasts and Los Ojos Azules De La Muneca Rota/Blue Eyes of the Broken Doll, The Corpse Grinders 1 and 2, the Blood Island Trilogy(Brides of Blood, Mad Doctor of Blood Island and Beasts of Blood), a early 60's Italian horror flick Playgirls and the Vampire(still want the follow up the Vampire and the Ballerina), The It's Alive Trilogy(mutant killer babies ftw), the rare and out of print Vinegar Syndrome Drive in Collection vol 2 with Savage Water and Death by Invitation(they did redo that volume just with Dungeon of Harrow in place of Savage Water), Nudist Colony of the Dead, the Hershel Gordon Lewis gore sploitation films Blood Feast, Two Thousand Maniacs, Color Me Blood Red, A Taste of Blood, The Wizard of Gore and The Gore Gore Girls, the only one I am currently missing is the Gruesome Twosome, Blood Suckers and Blood Thirst, Beast of the Yellow Night, The Suckers along with The Love Garden. The Suckers being a sleazy sexsploitation take on the Most Dangerous Game, Revenge of the Virgins and Teenage Zombies, Thriller: A Cruel Picture(the original uncut version not to be confused with They Call Her One Eye which is the slightly censored and trimmed down version), Gestapo's Last Orgy aka Caligula reincarnated as Hitler, Oh and the infamous hardcore arthouse film that best can be described as David Lunch and John Waters teaming up to make a sleazy, bizarre hardcore arthouse exploitation film Thundercrack! on Blu ray.

Oh and two giant Mill Creek 200 movie box sets the Tales of Terror: 200 Horror movie set and The Drive in Cult Classics: 200 Cult film set(horror, exploitation, b-films)

Those you listed are defiantly cult films. Exploitation and it's sub genres Blaxsploitation, Nudies, Cheescake/girly films, roughies, goresploitation, white coders, revenge films, bruce sploitation, sexsploitation, Mondo Carne, jungle cannibal films, ect , B - Z grade films and the like are all considered Cult films. A cult film is just a movie that has a small but loyal following so stuff like Manos: The Hands of Fate despite being one of the worst films ever is a cult film since it does has a fan base.


As for Dolemite, I actually been entertaining getting the Xenon pictures Dolemite box set which has Dolemite and the other Rudy Ray Moore Low budget Blaxsploitation films Human Tornado, Disco Godfather and Petey Wheatstraw: the Devil's Son in Law. The only reason I am on the fence on it is because Vinegar Syndrome picked up the rights to those films and are planning on releasing them on Blu ray so we may see HD remasters of Dolemite and the rest this year.

Manhunt is the crown jewel of my cult film collection, that's actually a game.

All my cult films actually go in it's box. Cannibal Holocaust , Aftermath and Flowers of Flesh and Blood are hiding in it's manual.

I just finished my poster design for a small, danish cinema called HUSETS BIOGRAF. I had decided on a punkish black light -inspired design, which made this poster even less readable than usual. I felt kind of guilty, since my design took precedence over the shows the poster is supposed to promote. But it will show that this cinema has attitude, and that's important, too.

A movie about people who get off sexually from being in automobile accidents.

Yes, that's the premise of the movie. And yes, it's as disturbing as its implications. I felt dirty after viewing that film. Though to be fair, Holly Hunter was all kinds of hot in it... even with the leg braces.

Sorry Emob, but that one just didn't do anything for me. I adore Cronenberg, and I'm not saying Crash is a bad movie, far from it, it just doesn't rank in my 'best of' list for him. Of course I love his first movie, "Shivers" (I believe was title in this country), and technically that is a piece of shit, but it makes me feel very uncomfortable more so than his other stuff.

Point taken sir, though technically Crash was way better than Shivers, and don't get me started on the acting in Shivers. XD I swear, every line is delivered by the actor or actress as if they are trying to remember what the line is. :P

Had to go look up Shivers... yeah, I don't remember that one. You're a couple of years older than me, so you'd remember 70s schlock films better than I. I had to wait until the 80s to embrace the weirdness that is David Cronenberg.

I actually found out about Shivers pretty late in life. The only time I've ever seen it on was the middle of the night because it is so rough. The rumor was that Canada gave him the money for it and then tried to deport him after they saw it. :P I don't know how true that is.

That's what Canada gets for being stupid enough to subsidize the film industry in their country. Yeah, try and bribe eccentric, anti-establishment types into making 'good art'. Great idea.

You wanna know why movies suck now? The fucking government, that's why. LMAO.

There's also the 2004 movie Crash starring Sandra Bullock, which I hear is overrated trash. Probably best to stay away from any movie with the title Crash.

That is one of the reason I don't watch the Oscars anymore, Crash won Best Picture. As did Forrest Gump and Rockey. Apparently the voters aren't required to actually watch these fucking things before they cast their ballot.
