Hello dear people,

i have leftover steamkeys from the HumbleBundle Crusader Kings 2 Bundle for:

Crusader Kings II
Crusader Kings II: The Old Gods DLC

I would like to trade them in for something from my wishlist maybe. (GOG Keys)
I will look into this later and check the replies.

PLEASE DONT SEND ANY KEYS BEFORE I DIDNT GIVE MY "OK". (I will not take responsibilty if you decide to blindly send me keys and expect to get CKII. I will not active them or reply to you if you do this.)

Have a nice day :)

Before anyone makes a bad deal, for 3 more hours you can get Crusader Kings 2 with a handful of DLC (including The Old Gods) for just $1 at Humble Bundle. if you increase it to $15, you'll get all the DLC there is for Crusader Kings 2.

Thats where i got it from btw. I already have CKII and that DLC, so thats why i trade them in.

But maybe someone have leftover keys and always wanted to at least try CKII without investing a dollar or at least 15 dollars (if you get it at humblebundle, get the whole package to be honest while at it) - that would be the chance.

Bad deal huh? Thanks, really nice of you. Really saved someone from trading an unwanted Sengoku or Kings Bounty Key for Crusader Kings II.
Aren't we defensive? Just provided some additional information that you left out since that might factor in for anyone interested in the game.

Yeah, that`s capitalism: Buy cheap, trade it for something expensive and hope that the other one doesn`t recognize that he`s been hit over the ear!

No. Thats a trade:
"I have two steamkeys - you want it ? okay, make me an offer. i would of course prefer something from my wishlist"

Thats it. If someone would have been interested at that point he would be free to use google and check the price for Crusader Kings II and probably found about that deal himself.
Further: My Wishlist is open for everyone and i didnt piled up all the 49,99,- games that are here just to live for cheap. Its all transparent and i do communicate with people. This is also my first online key-trade, so whatever. I bet no one would have give two fks if this would have been a free give-away.

Of course i get defensive with those kind of accusations. I had those keys as leftovers and simply didnt felt like giving them away for free. If someone offers me, lets say, a leftover key (which is also something that person would probably not use himself anyway and maybe also want to get a game he didnt own and maybe want to check out) - why wouldnt i make that trade ?

No one bothered to read my inital post carefully (i edited a line that i got it from HB into it).
No one bothered to check my wishlist and had the thought "Well, looks like he would trade Ghost Recon, which is clearly on his list, for Crusader Kings II" - tell me that this is a bad deal?

Whats the matter guys?
I mean seriously ?

Making me look bad, even though i had a transparent trade option here. If someone is not interested, then fine. If someone has a LEFTOVER KEY anyway - why not ? Hell, maybe someone would offer me something i dont know and i would check it out?
I made that post 2 hours before the humble deal ended anyway. Whats the point of turning this into a discussion about me being such a horrible asshat that want to ripoff people?

A private message to me to simply add "it would be nice to add that there is still a humble deal running" would have also done the job. Or ONE POST like "I may add the information that there is still the Humble Bundle running, otherwise feel free to trade with Samet" .
Sounds also better, right?

You can at least try to be nice, even if you initally think that sounds bad.
You may have seen less pushback if you had posted here: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_general_trading_thread

Why no one mentioned that previously instead of going for the "let's rile everyone up" option is a true mystery.

And miss this glorious meltdown?

Seriously though, just relax Samet42 and focus on your trade. No need to take the criticism about capitalism seriously, a trade without coercion is by definition good since both parties are better off after the trade. Absolutely no need to get defensive about it.

Totally failed to find this!

Have you ever heard of the term "trade"? It has been like that since the dawn of creation.

If you read my post carefully, you might notice the word "capitalism" in it. :-)
And yes, capitalism has been around since the dawn of man. Even so called "communist" states were in their core capitalistic (I hope that`s the right word).

The fact that I have ignored your remark on capitalism should have been obvious to you that I wanted to correct you. Trade is trade, it has been like that since the dawn of creation, and has nothing to do with capitalism.

Well, trade is capitalism and capitalism is trade.

Well, a thing can exist even before a term for it is coined.
