sebarnolds: The Outcast HD kickstarter is starting next Monday !
Woah, never heard about this, to be honest Outcast with the resolution patch looks great to me, never thought it would need a remake.

The page says "Reboot", is it going to be an actual HD remake?

I think so but they need to remake a lot as voxels won't be used anymore for rendering (I think). I guess we'll know for sure on Monday.

And yes the unofficial HD patch was more than enough for me a few years ago when I re-played the game.

Flying Hamster II - Knight of the Golden Seed

This actually looks quite good.
One for Snarfquest fans:

SnarfQuest 30th Anniversary Remastered Graphic Novel (May 5)

gandalf.nho: Tactical, turn-based RPG/roguelike dungeon crawler with customizable papercraft-like characters:
Popup Dungeon
That project looks to be Steam only - which is galling given their previous project (Ring Runner) was offered DRM-free.

One to *ahem* review rather than support is Barbarossa - probably the only game to feature an Adolf Hitler (or rather Li'l Fuhrer) panty shot...

Yep, I mostly meant is it going to be just a straight remake of the original game and it's content in modern 3d graphics. Or will it be a "reboot" in the vein of like the Shadow Warrior or Thief recent reboots.
Wil Wheaton needs money to continue his TableTop series on YouTube. $500 000 is the goal, but it's a flexible funding campaign...
Out of curiosity do u guys back something even if its Steam only?
This looks good

The Breakout

"The Breakout is a nail-biting point-and-click adventure that pays homage to the captivating storytelling and characterization of the classic Point n Click games of the 1990s combined with the tense filmmaking style of classic movies like The Great Escape."

No, not a chance.

Nope - DRM free is a make-or-break criteria for me too. Even though Steam can offer DRM-free, that would not be acceptable since you have to use their security-challenged client to download it.

Prisonscape is an adventure/RPG game about the harsh and brutal life in prison, made for PC, Mac, and Linux.

The focus is on making the best of what you have. Gathering parts and crafting makeshift weapons, interacting with other prisoners (bartering, forming alliances, or making enemies) and learning the trade inside the prison.

You can develop your character to be a tough fighter, charismatic manipulator, intelligent craftsman, or a slimy snake, and the choices you make affect the story.

The game was heavily inspired by two HBO classics, The Wire and Oz and the art style inspiration was pulled from SNES classics such as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6. What separates Prisonscape from other games of same genre is its gritty, uncompromising atmosphere - we're not attempting to sugarcoat the prison life and culture.
Interesting and unusual project, though aiming for $49,500 seems a little high for an unproven company. Hope they can make it.
