MorphysLaw: Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter finished tonight, and combined with Paypal donations has hit over 4 million, making all extended goals met!
nijuu: Is there any actual confirmation of a proper DRM free version being offerred to backers? "Mighty No. 9 is being developed for the PC with gamepad support (of course!), and will be made available through Steam and DRM-free digital distribution methods. "

ErekoseDM: i think the only mention thus far of a DRM-free might9 is on their home page of their KS:
"Mighty No. 9 is being developed for the PC with gamepad support (of course!), and will be made available through Steam and DRM-free digital distribution methods. "
Also "We’re proud to announce we’re working with Humble Bundle for digital reward fulfillment and Fangamer for physical items!". Which I take to mean that the "DRM-free" they're talking about is a direct download from HB, but doesn't, in fact, actually confirm anything regarding DRM."Mighty No. 9 is being developed for the PC with gamepad support (of course!), and will be made available through Steam and DRM-free digital distribution methods. "

The Mandate
"In The Mandate, DRM is outlawed! You pledge on Kickstarter because you want to support and play the game. It is therefore senseless to harm your experience by adding cumbersome DRM. You’ll require a game-key, and there will be the standard Steam services DRM, but we’re also looking into a GoG.com release that, as you know, will be the buyers choice for zero DRM." The Mandate
Confusing statement about DRM free nature (or lack of) - asked for clarification.

sebarnolds: Sunless Sea finished in less than 24h and it seems very interesting. It is set in the same universe of Fallen London (a free-to-play I started to play recently).
They reached their funding goal but the first strech goal would be nice.
They closed at 100,803, which means the stretch goal is in! Sweet. They reached their funding goal but the first strech goal would be nice.

The Chibi Asian Adventurers Miniatures kickstarter by Impact! Miniatures is on now.
It's their second kickstarter with chibi minatures and the first one went very well. Apparently there was an undiscovered need for chibi miniatures. And it was big. O_0
They now sell the chibi miniatures from the previous kickstarter in their shop and many are sold out again and again. It's fascinating.
I hope their new kickstarter goes as well as the previous one.

Only a $5k goal? That seems ridiculously low, I don't see how you could possibly make a decent MoM successor with so little money. Of course they may have other sources of financing, or maybe they're actually hoping to get a lot more money (which they probably will, given they're at 7k already).
Still, that figure doesn't make me very confident about their ability to draw up a realistic budget and manage it well, which is the part of making games that many developers have the most trouble with.
Therefore, I'm not pledging to this, even though I love MoM and none of the attempts at making a worthy successor have quite hit the mark so far for me.

Here's Middle of Nowhere again http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/aaronwildemusic/middle-of-nowhere-survival-horror-0.
It won't make it without outside advertising though, which saddens me. I think these guys have some real potential.
