I got a message from the project creator stating it's an understandable complaint that is being taken into consideration. Also, apparently, I'm the only one who complained, however:
(1) the "announcement" went by kickstarter pm, not project updates,
(2) hidden in the third paragraph of said PM, which is a "blah blah everything's awesome and on track" project update, not a call for private feedback,
(3) comments on the project are sparse, and the last comment dates from before the pm was sent.
So yeah.
Fortunately, an actual pop science book by someone else on the same topic is in the works, and if there's no change of plans, I'll be demanding *that* as a reward.

It just sounds like such a spaghetti cat moment. O.o They might think they're clever 'hiding' the info in a PM, but they're going to be hearing from people once the pledgers receive poetry instead of what they thought they were sponsoring. I wonder if the plan was to do poetry all along... it just seems like such a 180 on direction. I assume their campaign procured more money than one for a book of poetry would have.(1) the "announcement" went by kickstarter pm, not project updates,

Problem is, I am fundamentally unable to give much of a damn. There were times when I went to war over female soldiers in Xenonauts, now I am reluctant to confront an off-the-rails project creator over something that's ultimately in their best interests. And yes, the campaign got about 20 times more money than one for a book of poetry would.Starmaker

Starmaker: Gridiron Thunder looks shady as hell. They've had two $25k days and two $10k days, with 29, 4, 6 and 3 backers respectively. But none of the top tiers are taken. Yes, it's an ouya grant self-funding scam.
I don't get it. What are they doing? And how? I see that each backer would have to have given an average of over $ 500. And that that cannot be...

.DECIMAL looks good. It certainly looks like it has potential
.DECIMAL is a sci-fi Action-RTS/MOBA that features near-future tech, "hero-centric" squad combat and real-time tactical deployments.

"Death Road to Canada combines post-apocalyptic decision making events with action-adventure segments where you explore randomized cities. Scavenge for supplies, find survivors, and deal with massive hordes of classic-style zombies. Recruit up to five survivors with their own random names, appearances, personalities, and quirks that can both help and hinder your journey to safety. This unique blend is wrapped in a colorful game world that doesn't take itself dark-and-gritty seriously."
