grmreyes: Mediocre Monster lets you play as a goblin in a JRPG game. The concept is kinda like Wreck-it-Ralph. Check out the trailer. DRM-free is available.

Posthuman Sanctuary is a rogue-lite, visual novel-like post-apocalyptic game. Reminds me of Darkest Dungeon. No word on DRM.
Mediocre Monsters's goal was reached a couple of days ago. "Now it's time to get to work."
Quite an interesting thing :)

Here's an interesting project for all of you "Metroid-vania" fans:

Demoniaca

Billed as "King of Fighters meets Castlevania", the game's aesthetics and play style definitely support this claim. The developer is offering both standard and uncensored versions of the game, so they are definitely catering to the pubescent male demographic a fair bit. Still, that being said, the project's goal is modest, the reward tiers are sensibly priced and offer a nice assortment of digital and physical goodies, and the game will be DRM-Free.
Luna

"Behind the veil of reality, lies an enchanted world. When the world lost its balance, it fell upon a boy to take on an unexpected journey. Until the moon rises again, the order of the world will not be restored. One can not go back in time to correct his mistake. Whatever happened is irreversible."

Beautiful point & click adventure game. They don't address the drm-freeness of the project in the kickstarter page, but they answered the first comment about it:
"As for your question : Backer will be able to choose between a Steam download key and a DRM-free version."

Looks very, very good. Pity that Linux support doesn't seem to be in their plans, otherwise I'd have backed it.
Another good one for the point & click crowd:

Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure

"A comedy cosmic horror point and click adventure made in Transylvania. Lucas Arts style, Lovecraft horrors, general insanity!"

They need and deserve your money. Good pitch video. Great 2D graphics and animations. Comedy & Cthulhu. DRM-Free. And a linux version for all you linux lovers.
Nice! I read about it on Linux Game News the other day, and I even played its demo for a while, but somehow I managed to forget they were going to launch a Kickstarter soon... :P Gonna back it for sure.
Consortium: The Tower is back in the game, this time on Fig. Let's hope that it's gonna work out for the team this time around.
Arcadian Atlas, an isometric SRPG with pixel art.
Niten

Influenced by titles such as 'Dear Esther' and 'Gone Home', 'Niten' is a story driven exploration game set on a remote Japanese island.

This is really nice. I backed it after trying the demo. I hope they are successful.

I really liked their pitch, add to that the fact they have a demo, adventure fans should really give this a try.

If anyone wants to back Consortium: The Tower at the $50 level or higher, I have $10 off links.
Hi

A Kickstarter with music from the Last Ninja series of games from the Commodore 64 and concert plus goodies.

Great music = for me this era of gaming was about the music and the imagination :) something different.

Please have a look and cheer the guys on - been a long haul so far and the promo vid is pretty cool.

Kickstarter = "fastloaders/the-last-ninja-musicology-c64-album-concert-blu-ra"

(just stick the text in between the quotes in there and off you go! - been a member of GOG for years = can't post links :/)

cheers
Hm, so Consortium made it, but that's largely due to people "investing" in the game instead of pledging. I wonder what that means for the development process. >_>
Promised to share my backer appearance in Baby Bestiary Volume 2, so here it is. This is me with a young Wolpertinger, and will be included in the volume itself, as will five other backers and their baby beasts. :)
