Cripes, I guess I need to revise that estimate. Battletech will probably make the single player campaign goal by tonight. p_O
Tears of Avia

Turn based tactical RPG like Fire Emblem.

ive already backed. I personally hope this does well but just falls short for the PvP
Verona: Season 1 - An action/adventure game with a focus on story and character development inspired by Romeo & Juliet and Firefly.

Even in its pre-alpha state, the game looks very slick. It reminds me of the better parts of the Mass Effect series. While they do have a publisher waiting in the wings, that company is not willing to bite the bullet unless the devs are able to successfully fund this campaign. As the name implies, this will be an episodic game. Season 1 will be comprised of five episodes totally about 10-15 hours of gameplay.

The team's pedigree is impressive; comprised of developers who worked on games like Sine Mora, Witcher 2, and the Dreamcast version of Ecco the Dolphin. To prove their love for Firefly, the game's music is being done by the TV series' composer, Greg Edmonson, who also worked on the music for the Uncharted games. Upon release, the game will be available on Steam or DRM-Free. However, at least initially, it will be for Windows PCs only.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It looks really slick already. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Gnostic: Ok I bite.

Why it is not stated in the main page? Guess I will ask directly in the kickstarter.

Still no mention for 2 weeks. so......

Yeah, it looks like it will blow past the goal this morning, so I'll go ahead and throw my backing in as well.

They confirmed it will be available DRM-free at the start of the kickstarter, so there's no reason they changed their mind. The alpha is DRM-free so I guess the same will apply to the game. Even the steam version, will probably be DRM-free like most indie games ( you download the game via steam and then you can backup the game directory and play on any computer without steam...). It's a small project and the guys probably won't waste money on DRM...
As for the GOG release, i think it's only up to GOG themselves since the team probably won't say no to more customers...But GOG criterias when it comes to releasing games are sometimes strange, so no one can tell right now I guess...

The Journey Down

An afro-noir point & click adventure saga set in a rich, atmospheric musical world.

The kickstarter is for the third and final episode. The first two episodes are already out, and are very well received adventure games. There are pledges to get all three episodies. It'l be released DRM-Free.

(And hopefully it can still be released in GOG after the final episode comes out)

I was just coming to post this :)

I really enjoyed episode 1 - haven't played episode 2.

I've backed it.
Hey, everyone! It's October, so my new Kickstarter indie game rundown is now online at Geeks With Wives. If you have a minute, please check it out. Most of the campaigns I've listed have already been talked about here, but you might still learn something. Let me know what you think! Thanks in advance!
Home Free

You are a dog, lost in a sprawling and unfamiliar city. You wander the streets, searching for scraps, for shelter, for a friendly face. Slowly, you overcome some of your fears. You learn where you can snag a meaty bone, where you can sleep warm and safe at night. Strange streets become familiar territory. One by one, the streets become yours. You find friends. Eventually, maybe, home.

DRM-free on Mac and PC

Unlike a lot of sims this actually looks decent...Can you mark your territory etc? ;).

This looks like a dog version of a failed KS project called Feral. I am so bummed they didn't make their goal and I really hope they try again at some point. It sure seems that dog-lovers are being a lot more generous with Home Free.

A-w-e-s-o-m-e. Backing this one without hesitation.

As for the GOG version, the devs had this to say:
"We're definitely aiming for gog once the trilogy is ready. Thanks for the tip!"

Yes, they just made goal in less than a week. So this one is off to a good start. Part of what drove me to back is the elegance of the city generating algorithm demonstrated in the video.
