Tekkaman-James: The campaign is live!

Divinity: Original Sin 2

Obviously, this one is going to be coming to GOG. :P

hummer010: I just can't justify backing this one. I'm still waiting on the Linux version from the first campaign.
They said explicitly, Linux version is not included in their Kickstarter campaign. So I won't back them but will buy the game when they'll release it for Linux.

Reever: How many projects have you guys backed? :D

I'm sometimes checking the updates and my mails of course. So when the game's out, I'll know. Currently three "older" games I'm waiting for, with BTIV and D:OSII being recent/still on-going.
I have 23 on kickstarter alone, a couple more in other platforms.

126, of which 66 are games. Not all of these made goal, though, and a few are repeat backings of the same project which relisted after failing to reach goal the first time. I started out exclusively backing games, but now am equally likely to be backing Publishing, Technology, and Design projects.
Tower 57 has made goal and is the last days of funding, if you want to jump on board. There are some backer exclusives with this game, including an extra character.

Only videogames.

6 active
79 successful
45 unsuccessful
To date, I have backed 59 campaigns on Kickstarter; 9 are still going, 40 were funded and 10 were unsuccessful.

Of the 59 campaigns I have backed, they are broken down as such:

49 Games (36 Video Games, 10 Tabletop Games and 3 Playing Cards),
4 Films & Video, 2 Design, 2 Publishing, 1 Comics and 1 Crafts.

I have also "slacker backed" three campaigns; 2 video games and 1 film.

Lastly, of the 43 funded campaigns I have backed (or slacker backed), 9 have delivered with another 10 coming before year's end.

Cool, a RPG based on the novel "The Dwarfs" by Markus Heitz.

Did you hear anything about their plans for the Linux version? Book of Unwritten Tales 2 has a Linux version, so I assume they know how to make them.

TSIOQUE, a point'n click adventure by the same guys who created Tormentum: Dark Sorrow is entering its final stretch. Fans of point'n clicks should definitely check it out.

Goal will probably be reached before the end of the Kickstarter, but the first stretch goal (translation) would be nice.
I am quite new to kickstarter and I have backed only Bard's Tale 4 and that too because they were giving WL2 to first day backers.
I will back few more projects once I get a job.
I have few game ideas and one movie in my mind that I want to try via kickstarter but lack of time, proper knowledge about project , money and proper crew makes it hard to implement in reality.

I backed this one.
Saw it when the kickstarter came out and it went for a couple of days without a single backer (and I didn't want to be first one).

It looks great and crazy. And definitely in need of more backers.

Okay, you guys are Kickstarter addicts :P I backed around 10, all in all, of which only one wasn't a game.
Even though this thread is open to any crowdfunding project of any variety, I typically keep my posts focused on video games.
Today, I will sharing something else.

Shallow Water: Terror Runs Deep - A horror monster movie using practical effects by an industry veteran monster maker.

You may not know Sandy Collora by name, but he has had a hand in so many films behind the scenes. He worked for Stan Winston's studio on the production of Predator 2 as well as Jurassic Park (including designing the franchise's iconic logo), for Rick Baker's studio on the production of Men in Black and Rob Bottin's studio on the production of Robocop 2. Additionally, he is also the man behind the fan film Batman: Dead End, which saw Batman facing off against a Predator and a Xenomorph.

He is also no stranger to Kickstarter, having used the platform to successfully fund two volumes of his "The Art of Creature and Character Design" book series as well as the behind-the-scenes documentary film Behind the Mask: The Batman Dead End Story. His goal for this campaign is very ambitious, so please consider backing and/or sharing the link if you enjoy practical effects and the memorable monsters created with them. It is a dying art that I refuse to let be destroyed by CGI. Go, rubber monsters! Go!
