Good day. People didn't seem to mind when I posted our recent project, so here's one last mention as we go into our final week:

Lone Wolf - The Board Game

We're at 2/3 of our funding goal for the first wargame/board game to come out of Lone Wolf, the long-running gamebook series ("Choose Your Own Adventure"). It's had various updates, like an artbook for Gary Chalk's classic fantasy art, including the Redwall series.

And I'm going to post this essay here on a hunch:

I think different styles of games are all awesome, and I get the impression that opponents of DRM overlap with proponents of older gaming.
I found out about the kickstarter yesterday. Such an awesome site, definitely going to contribute some.

EDIT: Nevermind. Someone beat me to the TV Tropes Kickstarter punch.

Integrity team, my ass.

TL;DR version:
This dude has a webcomic. He worked with a scammer to make a board game. The kickstarter account is in the scammer's name, who then made off with the money ($165k -- about as much as I stand to earn in my lifetime). The webcomic author wants to fulfill the pledges anyway from his own funds. Kickstarter doesn't give him the backer list, citing privacy and "integrity", even though they acknowledge the project was a scam.

There are several youtube videos around if you look up Grisaia no Kajitsu, Grisaia no Meikyuu, and Grisaia no Rakuen.
Note that at least Grisai no Kajitsu already exists with English text (as a fan translation):

Something between, there are no minigames or RPG progression, but there are five main plot lines, one for each heroine, with multiple endings. I played only Grisaia no Kajitsu, so can't tell anything about the rest.
