Well some time ago I got my third star, plus I never did anything for my one year anniversary back in spring, so I figured to make up for it I'd have one HUGE GA. :) The prizes are as follows:

1st prize: $20USD worth of gog games (if a game is a little over $20 we may be able to negotiate ;) )
2nd prize: $10USD worth of gog games
3rd prize: Gog game up to 5.99USD

Now, to enter you must finish the story I have started at the bottom. I will pick out my favorite stories and throw those author's names into random.org. First person gets first prize, second gets second and so on. I may have a little treat for my favorite story too ;) And yes, if random makes you #1 AND i like your story best, you will get two prizes.

Now for the stupid rulez:
1. Rules are subject to change at my discretion!
2. Once the GA closes you may NOT edit your entry. Any edited entries will be disqualified, but feel free to edit until then.
3. Must have a minimum +50 rep (I will bend this for people who have been hurt by the alt derepping, i'm regular enough here to know who those people are)
4. Must have a regular forum presence outside of GAs. I will check this and ask around about people I don't know!
5. The games are to be redeemed by YOU and ONLY YOU.
6. There will be as many people in random as I see fit. if all the stories are awesome, you will all be in the drawing

Ok the beginning of the story which you must use to start your tale:

Once upon a time there was a little mouse named Harriet. She had lovely long whiskers, coal-black eyes that shone like diamonds and a long tail that curled like a question mark. The apartment where she lived was warm and cozy, and situated in a wall inside a baker's shop. She had two good friends, Cayde, a large white raven and Bonnet, the doberman that lived with the Butcher next door.

One day....

The GA will end Oct 2nd
I will not read any stories until the GA ends.

EDIT: All stories MUST be original. I will not except plagiarism or retellings of other people's works. I wrote the intro like I did so that it HAD to be original.

Thank you for the awesome giveaway, Crew. I will probably not enter for a prize, but I will see about making up a little story before the deadline.

Good luck to those entering for the prize!
DD I demand you enter lol

And also, I am not expecting some insane, mind-blowing story, I know that English isn't a first language for many and that story telling can be hard. Just a fun little exercise to make the GA fun.

Maybe. If enough people enter then I will just be in it for fun, but if you are running short on participants then okay.
What an awesome idea :D
I look forwards to reading the nice stories people will send you...
Meanwhile, I'll just throw a couple pointy +1 rocks at your nose, lovely and so generous bunnysaurus !! :-))
Not in (obviously, ha), but wanted to drop by and say good luck to everyone, and thanks OP for the opportunity. Way cool!
I'll be in but it might take me a bit to actually write the story. :) Thanks for the giveaway!
I would try continuing the story but would not want the prize.

One day

Cayde with a heavy sign and heavier spirit told Harriet he is very sad and lonely. The female ravens want noting to do with him because he is the only white raven while everyone else is black. Despite reaching the old age of 10 he has not a mate yet.

Harriet with the world view of a mice said she is the rage of all male mouses because she has these long whiskers that excite her mate by rubbing each other whiskers when they kiss, and sexy long tail that can wrap each other more tightly when they hug.

Maybe if he has some whiskers and train his tail to bend and wrap, his potential mate would overlook his whiteness and accept him.

Cayde tried to follow her advice and glues some olive branch to his beak, but no matter how he train his tail, it can only go up, down, left, right, in a straight manner, much less wrapping another raven with it.

So Harriet, giving up on training his tail then stick a party horn to his ass and tell him to practice letting out air from his bottom instead.

After some practice, Harriet, with her tail covering her nostril, told him he is much better then her already and quickly send him away to do the real thing...........

...........................

Cayde, with a blacken eye come to Bonnet for advice. Bonnet, wider then his length, huff and pant that he have no shortage of ladies due to the generous helpings of the butcher leftover which he can offer the ladies. If Cayde have a large number of things that is irresistible to the opposite sex, he can be like him too.

Cayde decides to risk him life going for the toy shop marbles. Chemist test tubes, painter glass frame and all things shiny.

It was easier then expected as people are strangely lenient of him and allow him to take the small things away.

Cayde live the rest of this life like Bonnet with an endless queue of ladies going "Oh Shiny"

Cayde the white raven look at his reflection in a mirror in a treasure hunt and try to get off the olive branch stuck to his beak that he forgot. After he no longer look like this, The treasure hunt become his last.

One day, Harriet was enjoying a small crumb of cheese safely nestled in her apartment. The Baker was getting ready to open her shop, and the scent of freshly glazed donuts permeated the air. The window on the wall next to Harriet's apartment was propped open, and the morning was quiet and warm.

Harriet's calm was shattered by the sound of agitated barking coming from next door. Bonnet was usually quiet and didn't bark, so Harriet knew something was wrong. The barking continued, and a white blur landed on the sill outside the window. Cayde poked his head in. "What's wrong with Bonnet?", he asked Harriet, who clambered out on the windowsill. "I have no idea! I've never heard her this upset."

Harriet climbed down the drainpipe next to the window, her claws clicking against the plastic. Cayde flew over to the Butcher's window, as Harriet climbed up that drainpipe. Bonnet was furiously scratching at the door and barking. Cayde used his beak to open the window. "What's wrong Bonnet?" Bonnet paused her assault on the door, and looked up at her friends. "My master is usually back by now. He goes to the market as soon as the sun is up, and he's usually back by now to open the shop. This isn't like him; something is wrong, I just know it." Harriet and Cayde exchanged a look, and Bonnet started scratching at the door again. "We'll help you find him", Harriet offered, as Cayde bobbed his beak behind her. Harriet scrambled in the window and made her way to the door, wrapping her tail around the lock until it clicked. Bonnet pushed it open with her nose and sniffed the morning air. "Thanks guys."

Bonnet bounded off in the direction she always saw the Butcher go in the morning, and Harriet scurried to keep up. Cayde flew above them, and Bonnet shortened her steps so Harriet could keep up. They kept going until they came to the market, bustling with people and smells and sounds. Bonnet swung her head left and right, trying to catch the scent of her master, but the crowd made it difficult. Cayde landed on a booth, and asked Bonnet what she wanted to do. "Can you circle above and see if you can see him?"

"I can try, but humans all look the same to me," Cayde answered, but dutifully lifted off into the air. Bonnet's tail pounded the ground as she waited impatiently, and Harriet tried to reassure her that the Butcher was probably fine. After a long few minutes, Cayde landed next to them. "There's somebody down the alley behind the vegetable stand. I thought it might be him." Bonnet took of running, Harriet right behind her. Bonnet reached the vegetable stand and sniffed the air. "That's his scent!" she said happily, running down the alley. They rounded the corner and froze in shock. The Butcher was lying on the ground in a pool of congealed blood, a huge gash on his forehead. Bonnet yelped and ran to his side. She nudged his cheek with her nose, whimpering. When he didn’t move, she started howling pitifully. She continued to howl as Harriet and Cayde stood off to the side. People started to come to investigate the noise, and she continued to nuzzle into his side, keeping guard.
-------
Harriet was dozing in her apartment, the events of last week still fresh in her mind. She could overhear the Baker in the other room on the phone. “Poor man. Yes, that’s right. No, they still don’t know who did it. His son is going to sell the store. Doesn’t even want Henry’s dog, says he’s allergic. I feel bad, I don’t want her to go to the pound. I think I might see if I can take her.”

Harriet perked up at the news. If the Baker was going to adopt Bonnet, she’d get to see her more. She clambered out the window to go check on her friend. Cayde was already perched on the Butcher’s windowsill. “Hey Harriet,” Cayde greeted. Bonnet was inside waiting by the door, her head on her paws. She looked up at Harriet, but went back to her vigil of the door. They had tried telling Bonnet he wasn’t coming back, but she still waited. “I heard some good news. The Baker says she could take care of you. We could be roomies!” Bonnet looked up at that, her tail wagging momentarily. “That would be nice.”

“Now, if only she’d adopt a bird…” Harriet started, smirking at Cayde. “No way. I like my freedom, thank you very much.” Cayde answered haughtily, raising his beak into the air. Bonnet snuffed a laugh, smiling at the banter of her friends. She felt better than she had in a week. She would always miss her Butcher, but she had the best friends in the world.

One day, Harriet went to visit Cayde and found he was missing. In a panic, Harriet scrambled about, looking for Cayde in all his usual places; up on the roof of the apartment, back in the alley behind the butcher's shop, and his especially favorite place, the library, which was just a few streets over.

Cayde was nowhere to be found. Harriet, distressed, called over at the butcher's and consulted with Bonnet.

"Bonnet, my dear," Harriet said, with a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach, "Girl I can't find Cayde anywhere. No matter where I look he's not in any of his usual spaces, and believe me, I've looked. Today he was supposed to let me climb his back and show me the town from up on gilded wings. What is a mouse to do?!?"

"Well, you know sometimes Cayde takes off without telling anyone," Bonnet frumpled her face as she said it, as though she knew something that Harriet didn't, and couldn't, know. "I'm sure he'll be back tomorrow, Harriet. Try not to fret."

Harriet became more unsettled at Bonnet's complete lack of empathy regarding the situation. "Bonnet, you know he and I were rescued by the same human, and one of our stops was supposed to be to see how that human is doing!"

Bonnet frumpled her face again. "I'm telling you, Harriet, just be patient. I'm sure he'll be back soon; I'm positive he's not dead in an alley somewhere. Sometimes you just have to trust in the pulse of the universe. For example, my human isn't always home, what with him having a new lady friend and all, but I know come 7pm, there will be food in my dish and fresh water in my bowl! Sometimes you just need faith..."

Bonnet tried to smile, but she was all teeth. Harriet sighed, then double sighed, and thought it over.

Harriet suddenly remembered that Cayde had said he had important business to take care of and he would meet up with her as soon as it was finished, but there was no telling when. She was immensely relieved and suddenly embarrassed that she'd gotten so worked up.

Bonnet and Harriet proceeded to hang out for the next hour, playing those games ladies play when they're alone. Before Harriet knew it, she heard a familiar caw, but to her shock Cayde was sitting on the shoulder of a human walking their way! And not just any human, but the human that had rescued her and Cayde!

"Ca-caw-caw-caw! Harriet did you miss me?" Cayde winked one eye and did his best to show a gentlemanly smile. "I brought someone who's been dying to see you for some time!"

Harriet meekled with delight! "Is that... Is that OUR human?"

"Yes, Harriet, it is."

"OUR HUMAN!" Harriet scurried up the human's leg and onto his other shoulder. "I MISSED YOU!"

The human smiled, and giggled, and said everything was alright, explaining that he would be stopping by once a week to make sure everything was ok, because he'd heard a new feral cat named Buddie had just moved into town not far away.

Harriet felt blessed.
Great idea! +1 And congrats on the third star :)

May or may not enter, but I'll definitely try and write something. Probably not til close to the deadline though. I'm supposed to be working on a deadline right now and yet ...still here procrastinating. ;)
