It's maybe best to stop around 9,995th post. That way one other person can help Crow get the 10,000th post (with the two taking it in turns to post). If too many do it then he will lose his chance. This way we can make sure the posts leading up to it asks people not to spoil it and wait for Crow to post. Hopefully he will be around shortly to do the honours.

For example:
9,995 = Owl
9,996 = Crow
9,997 = Owl
9,998 = Crow
9,999 = Owl
10,000 = Crow

Morning all.

Hopefully Crow turns up this morning or I can't really see it happening. Someone will forget or some random person will come along and post it...

I'm doing good today, thank you. My mother is resting at the moment, which is nice, as it means I can relax and get some paperwork done. She is quite restless and keeps trying to push herself too far.

How is my absolute favourite French lady doing today? Are you feeling all better?

I will try to post some notices once we reach the last few posts. Hopefully then people will respect the request not to post. As I said to Owl, if one other person helps once we are in the final few digits, then this will stop people occidentally posting at the same time trying to help. If I'm online then I will volunteer to be the other person.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. Although I like working indoors sometimes, I prefer to be outside working on the farm. So I have mixed feelings about getting stuck indoors so much. But I am glad that it gives me time to chat on here and more importantly to keep an eye on my mum.

I'm guessing Crow won't be on much today, ironically. Hopefully we can pull it off, but if we don't, then at least he knows we tried.

Does anyone mind if I volunteer to be the other person to help him reach his post, or would one of you rather do it?

That makes a lot of beers to bring... I hope we'll get some peanuts with it.
(Still 42 posts to go... it seems infinite now !! :-D)

At least the place is quite this morning, which should help us make sure the posts is safe. I will make a request once we get close that people stop posting so me and Crow and post to get him the 10,000th post. If we are close to the target when he gets online, then we can always just fill 10 or 20 posts between us and make sure he gets the 10,000th. It's going to be a bit sad if he misses it.
