moonshineshadow: Yep crushing hugs would not be that good *normal hug*
I grew up without many of the actual sweets. Most things were sugar free sweets or for snacks I just ate some healthy stuff like carrots etc. So while I now enjoy some sweets sometimes I am still not eating them a lot. Most of the time I still stick to the healthy stuff for snacks :D
And yeah muffins are great! I have two baking books with muffin recipes :D
My mother loves to cook and bake. She has dozens of cook books, including a special family cook book that has been in our family for a very long time. It's full of all sorts of things, regular meals as well as cakes/muffins/cookies etc. I enjoy cooking and baking when I have the time, or when I can't sleep and fancy a change from reading.

AgentBirdnest: Anyone heard from Stilton lately?
I really miss our good old viking bard.
Hopefully he is just busy with moving home. Sometimes it can take weeks (or months) to get the phone/internet companies to set up phone lines and the internet over here, depending on the county. Fingers crossed he is okay.

That sounds great. While we do not have such a cook book my mother also has some things she does in a special way and it happens very often that I call her and ask "Mum how do you make this?" :D

Mothers are always the best cooks. :-)

My partner is usually the one doing most of the cooking, as I am often exhausted from work. It's so nice to come home to the smell of something baking or cooking. Then by the time I have done getting cleaned up, it's time to enjoy a nice meal with a little wine now and then.

That sounds wonderful :-)
I really enjoy cooking, of course during the week I always cook fast things when I get home after work but on the weekends I love trying new stuff.

I usually do a lot of baking during the summer. There is something so nice about baking on a nice sunny day. It's even nicer when you try something new and it turns out great. :-)

That is true :-) I recently got myself a cooking book with 1000 recipes from all over the world and I started trying different things from it every weekend. That is really fun :D
And at the moment I am looking forward to the first weekend of march. My father has a festivity at work the Monday after it and he wants to take some cakes, so I offered to visit my parents and have a lot of fun with baking cakes together with my mum :-) Because normally I don't have much oppertunity to bake cakes since baking a cake just for myself would be such a waste.

That sounds so great, spending time baking cakes with your mum. I hope you will have a wonderful time. Once my mother has recovered some more and is more stable on her feet, I might try to get her to spend some time baking. Hopefully it will take her mind off things and keep her from misbehaving by trying to do things she is not yet well enough to do. :-)

Sounds like a great plan :D You know she sounds a bit like my mum. She also tends to try doing things even if she es not feeling well enough yet. But luckily my mum is not sick often so it does not happen often. I hope your mum recovers fast so you can do fun stuff together with her :-)

[edit] Somehow I think the others all fled during our talk about cooking and baking :D

moonshineshadow: Not that good. So when I went shopping I went a bit overboard when I decided to buy something to make me feel better. I could not decide what I wanted so I bought icecream (3 different types), mousse au chocolat chocolate, chips, fasnachtschüechli and dried mango stripes... *feels even more embarassed about admitting that than just buying it* anyone wants something I have enough to share...
something to make you feel better; if that doesn't work, I bet [url=http://www.lechocolatier.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/f/e/feel_better_soon_platter.jpg]this will.

Was wondering about him just earlier today. Hope he's just very busy.

I think being stubborn when they are ill is another trait mothers have :-). I guess I take after her a lot, as I am the same when I am ill, which luckily is very rarely. It's always hard for my mum when she has been seriously ill (sadly something that happens too often), she is used to being such an active woman, and she hates getting stuck indoors with little to do. I guess she is just a die hard farm girl at heart. :-)

Will do. It would be great if Crow could get the 10,000th post. Hopefully we can make this happen today (or tomorrow for you Americans).

What are we going to do for the unlikely case that Crow falls asleep around the time this happens? Do you want us to refrain from posting for hours? :P
Yes please.:)
And you may want to add this:

to your posts when we get close so everyone knows.
Thank You for Your Support. :-)

We've had way more than that already today. Should happen very soon. ;)
