Ixamyakxim: I think the only answer is then... family weekend beach cottage rental! ;) With a private puppy beach. Assuming no mother in law issues of course! ;)

I know people that love their in-laws more than their parents... and I know my sister who would ring the nec... er... nevermind ;)
Haha. No in-law issues here. Her parents are crazy, but more so the good kind of crazy. ;) Oh man, growing up, my sisters (both older than myself) and I would fight like nobody's business.
We'll likely hang out at her parents' house and just relax with some beer. And they usually do some giant seafood cookout type thing, with all sorts of seabugs and other weird wonders from the ocean. :)

akhliber: I hope you are all well today! Been playing Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and really enjoying it. Sarge is super sleepy today, so I've gotten some good cleaning and some good leisure time in. :)

CarrionCrow: Good afternoon, and happy birthday to your entire household. =)

Now that you've said that, you're going to turn around and the puppy's going to be wide awake, ready to run, play and generally wear you out. ;)
Hello, and thanks! And yes, you are right, amusingly enough. Soon as I got up go make a drink, he started following me around with a toy in his mouth. Haha. Letting him play with a kong with a few treats in it, then I suppose it's time to head outside for some play time. :)

CarrionCrow: Sounds good. Maybe some Painkiller, maybe Doom 3. Something that involves tearing the shit out of enemies, as violently as possible. -laughs-
Mhm...sounds perfect. That's why i'm currently really enjoying Outlaws after i finished that darn paper ;)

Shit, almost forgot about that one. Will add it to the list.

Only three levels left to go.

It's worth for the soundtrack alone - at least when you're into Ennio Morricone style western music :D

Congrats :)

Alright - i'm off for sports. See you all later :)

Sorry that you're tired but I LOVE some video game discussion - what games do you have in mind / on the burner?

Hey neat GoG avatar glitch aside it LOOKS like you're trying to transform into a German submariner - am I seeing the tiny image in the reply correctly?

Well, games that I was playing in the last days are Spelunky, Blocks that Matter, A Boy and His Blob and Anno 1701.
Problem is, too tired for dying a thousand times in Spelunky and thinking about the complicated puzzles in Blocks that Matter. A Boy and his Blob is a bit boring since it is quite easy, so not that motivated. And in Anno the next scenario I need to finish involves a lot of fighting, which is not my favourite thing to do, so not that motivated.

So I think I need to start playing something different, but the list is way too long :D

It's funny as I was reading that list my thoughts first went to A Boy and His Blob and Anno - but I figured the "tired" comment would leave Anno as a bit too much like work.

I'm glad Blob passed on the difficulty of the NES original - while I had fun tossing my Blob jellybeans and watching him (it?) turn into different objects, the game was so difficult I don't think I ever made any progress LOL.

I've had a harder time getting into games lately. I think I need to break out some of the "big guns" I've been saving (games I was seriously interested in / were big "wants" of mine that I didn't play right away just so I'd have them when I was ready for a big or "real" game to play). I think that'll get me out of my funk.
Good evening folks.

Some mild disappointment in humanity was experienced earlier today.

Allow me to explain, I'm changing classrooms and as I walk through the corridor I pass by a small clique of people from my class. Now, one guy is saying "I'm about as gay as you are handsome." I don't particularly care for the tone he's using and I do feel mild dislike for the kid in question (though certainly not animosity) so I decide to throw my two cents and let him taste his own medicine and as I walk by I put my hand on his shoulder and say,

"Then you're a faggot."

Laughs were had and I thought that was the end. A lame punchline to a nicely set up joke. Nothing to write home about.

Apparently he didn't think so. Seems like I've made a mortal enemy. He thinks I've grieviously offended him. Telling me to bugger off in an angry tone. I'm mildly annoyed now, so I unapologetically explain that it was nothing more than a punchline to a joke he had set up himself with his earlier comment, and I tell him that he should let it go. He doesn't and walks away in a hissy fit saying "That I shouldn't start a war I can't win."

MFW I heard that line.

I'm a bit disappointed in humanity right now. But only a little, he's just a kid, and a skinny bundle of insecurities.

Wooooooooooow thanks didn't know this!

Still leaning naval motif, but I had no clue it was animated when I first saw it in the post LOL.
