ddickinson: I have never heard of the older games either, and after looking most are not really my kind of game. But many people seem really excited that they are coming here, and it is always good to see more classic games on GOG.

I am kind of hoping The Last Door Season 2 comes as a collectors edition like the first one, as the soundtrack on that game was very good and I would assume the second one is as well. But we will have to see, gone are the days when we got nice extras with games. We get them sometimes, but most of the time we get very little.

How are you feeling today? A little better I hope?
*big morning hug*
I took a closer look... Requiem looks kinda interesting to me - the others not so much.

I can't really remember the soundtrack for The Last Door. Actually, I remember very little about that game :-| I think I should replay it.

I'm doing okay. Still having trouble eating, but I'm feeling quite a bit better than yesterday, so I shouldn't complain :-)

Stop copying off me. That is the only one that appealed to me a little as well. :-)

I guess you might have to re-play the game, how else will you remember what is going on. Which is not a bad thing as it is a lovely little game.

Fingers crossed that as the day goes on you start to feel better. I am hoping for at least a good before the end of the day. :-)

zeogold: Yeah, the media perception of California is fairly off-kilter unless you're in Hollywood or Disneyland or something. As far as the weather for my particular area, it usually hits the 100s in the summer (about 38°C) and the mid-60s in the winter (around 18°C), with rain, so we get a fairly wide range of weather.
avatar
ddickinson: But still quite warm I see, even at the winter temperatures. I also never knew there was a Disneyland in California, I only remember seeing promotion for the one in Florida. But then I am not a fan of Disney, so I am not likely to know about all of their endeavours. But it makes sense having one on each coast, given the size of the US.
I'll admit, while it isn't always sunny here, it's true that it never snows.
That's Disneyworld, not Disneyland. Disneyworld is like...the size of 160 Disneylands. It would literally fit in Disneyworld's parking lot.

Would you like a bit of snow now and then, or are you happy with the weather there with no snow?

I did not know that. So are there many Disneylands around the US? The only two I have heard mention of were the ones in Paris and Florida. I guess as they must be the main two.

I kinda wish I could experience more snow, but I have a feeling that's only because it'd be a novelty to me. Making snowmen, sledding, and tossing around snowballs sounds fun. Scraping ice off of the car does not.

Er, no. There's only one DisneyWORLD, and that's in Florida. There's one main/original DisneyLAND, and that's here in California. After that one, they made 4 other Disneylands, one in Tokyo, one in Paris, one in Hong Kong, and one in Shanghai.
The place that everybody usually rants and raves about is usually Disneyworld and Disneyland. Disneyworld is the size of San Francisco, some 42 square miles or so, and basically an entire city of Disney (hence the name), with resorts, multiple theme parks, shops, etc. Disneyland, on the other hand, is about 160 acres and is just a theme park. It is by no means any less worth going to, however, and in my opinion is somewhat better on the principle that you don't have to spend darn near a week and a half there just to see everything.

I never knew it was that big. I knew it was the biggest, but not the size of a city. An entire city of Disney... it sounds like a horrible place :-). Are you sure it is not some gateway to the netherworld, some opening to hell where all the monstrosities can enter our world? :-)

It's a people trap set by a mouse.

Are you saying that the place lures people there to be fed to the evil demon lord Mikey as he needs the flesh of the innocent to survive? :-)

:-p ... I like first-person shooters, but I'm not a big fan of the really old ones. Like the ones that still used 2D sprites, and don't have vertical aiming. I don't really like those (with a couple exceptions, as always). Requiem reminds me a little bit of Half-Life, from what I saw/read, which is a good thing :-)

Thanks. Today is much better than yesterday, so I'd say a "good" is likely. *big thank you hug* :-)

I agree. Although I do like Duke 3D, which is a sprite based game. I also thought of Half-Life when I saw that game, and Half-Life is a game I really enjoyed. I still play it and the two expansions every so often. I never got to play the second series of games due to DRM, but the first game is still great and fun to play despite its age. Maybe when I can cope with FPS games again I will give Half-Life another play, it has been a few years since I last played the game.

*big fingers crossed for a good day hug*

Holy pluck... I didn't know that. I thought it was maybe 4-5 times larger than Disneyland... not a hundred+ times larger ô__ô

As I said, the PARKING LOT is literally bigger. It's amazing to think about. I can only imagine the level of immersion. I always wonder what the employees think of this stuff.
Good moaning how are you all?

Checked the bundle of holding and... HOLY SHITE! The paranoia bundle! Hell yea... waitasec 18 bucks?!

I visited DisneyLand when I was a wee lad. I thought it was incredibly large at the time. Huge as in taking hours to walk all the way across and needing a couple of days to see the whole park.

I also remember the extremely long queues.

I always thought that DisneyWorld was just the East Coast version. Larger because there's something like studios or some other stuff on a separate lot but part of the same compound. but now you tell me it's DisneyLand on steroids and growth hormone.

Also the map brochure seemed to hint that the park was shaped like a certain mouse's head.
