adaliabooks: We could do with one of those and all... only thing is I'm worried that when the elections come we'll get someone even worse :/

ddickinson: Not that I want to start a political debate, and not that I am overly keen on the current party, but I feel that the ones we have in at the moment are our best bet, at least compared to Labour and the Lib Dems. People seem to forget that it was Labour that got us in this mess to begin with.
My main worry is that UKIP gets in, but I can't say I'm keen on the current government (or Labour for that matter, but I think they are the lesser of two evils). I've worked in the Citizen's Advice for the last four years and watched how Cameron has run the country into the ground, so I wouldn't be sad to see him go.

But political debate is indeed no fun, so I'll leave it at that.

gunsynd: One thing for sure, people do forget the stuff ups that the Government does...
That's true. Most just get persuaded by the campaign pitches to vote for a party. They don't stop to think what they did previously or at the bigger picture. They just believe all the empty promises, the same promises the party made the last time it was in office, and never delivered on.

FearfulSymmetry: That does indeed sound like a good school trip! My school preferred letting us act ourselves instead of taking us out to see plays. :P
avatar
ddickinson: Acting the plays can also be fun. We did not do much of that, but when we did it was a lot of fun getting dressed up.
That's true. I was in my school's acting/theater club for a few years, and it was a lot of fun.

At any rate, it's time for me to head to bed, or I'll never be able to keep up in my Old English class tomorrow. Goodnight, everyone, and sleep well!

Very true:-)

UKIP makes me laugh. Have you ever read their manifesto? There is nothing in it really, no real concepts or anything. People vote for them but don't understand that they are falling into a party whose members are quite similar to the BNP.

Not that I want to defend Cameron, but a lot of what has happened is a result of necessity from the mess Labour got us into when they were in office. I'm not defending him or saying he has not messed up, but I would take him over Labour any day. If only because Cameron is still willing to stand up to the EU, while Labour seems to want to bend over and let the EU walk all over us. But as you said, political debates are no fun, so lets talk about something else.

I read earlier that you have some jobs lines up hopefully? This is very good news. Is summer your busiest season?

Have a good sleep. ;)
One really nice thing about having a serious stockpile -

I've got 37 games installed right now.

And even after I beat all of those?
I've still got a folder that would have made 13 year old me jump for joy like a methed-up kangaroo.

Out of curiosity, how many PC games do you think you own altogether?
Heeeeey did you realize all these sudden colors on some of the avatars here too? Or is it just me and my beer where someone mischievous obviously must have put some acid in? Oh look... there's a green one... and there comes a purple one! o___O

560 owned, 198 rented, 758 in total.

Actually, add maybe another dozen or so to that from Humble DRM-free that aren't duplicates in one way or another, so 770.

I don't know what I would do with that many games. I find it hard getting the time to play the games I have.

Are the rented games Steam games?
Wots all dis then?!

I leave for a couple of hours to watch the carnival and you become all verbose all of a sudden.

Oh, btw DD. since you sounded a little baffled by my mention of rule 34, take a look at the rules of the internet.

And stop smoking unless its weed, in which case, share some of that shit mate.

They are a joke, but a lot of people don't seem to realise it...

I'll leave it there, as our views clearly differ :)

Yeah, summer is busy for us. But we just heard today that we've got a regular weekly pitch in a local village which will hopefully be quite good and keep us going till the events really start in earnest. We also got a party booking for April which is good. And we've got a few other enquiries out for some more pitches which will hopefully come back positively.

Yeah, I've noticed since the merger or whatever happened... But those two are blue and yellow to me :-\
