Ixamyakxim: I actually have. Nothing too "in depth" or deeply historical (though I have read a book or two about more general agricultural history that included beer). A lot of the books I've read on brewing go into the history of the beverage. Though typically more recent history - think Western European beer history as opposed to more general "fermented alcoholic beverages" history - so less ancient Egypt / Americas, more the typical barley / water / yeast drinks.
Interesting stuff, it is, beer history! :)
There was also supposedly beer in China about at the same time (give or take a few centuries) it was becoming popular in Africa. Or so that book I read claimed. It was also sometimes used as daily meal :) Workers might get paid in beer! :) ...Although it was a whole another thing in those cases, more... well... soupy :)
EndreWhiteMane: No real problem here, didn't mean it to sound like I'm complaining.
Just curious that I'm shaky for no apparent reason. Feel OK otherwise.
akhliber: Same as Endre here, no real problem to complain about... I just wouldn't go playing Operation right about now. ;)
Ah, okay. Well that sounds better then.
Playing Operation...? .. once again I'm lost with what's going on :)
