moonshineshadow: Yep. I love books. And I spent way more on books than on games :D Just last weekend I got a new shelf since I did not have enough space anymore for more books.

ddickinson: I am having to limit myself buying new physical books now, which is why my partner bought me a kindle paperweight, so that I don't keep taking up more room with my books. I have a mini library in my house, a whole room full of bookcases and books everywhere. And lots of boxed fill of books up in the attic. I love to read. :-)

Do you keep all the books you buy? Or do you get rid of them once you have read them? I keep mine, which is how I ended up with so many. Every so often I get rid of some, but then I just by more to read to replace them.
Do you mean kindle paperwhite or have I missed one. I have an original Kindle, paperwhite with no backlight and love it. It's VERY light.

moonshineshadow: I have to admit that a lot of my books are still at my parents place :D I just don't have enough space for them at the moment. Once I am finished with my current project I'll move to a bigger apartment and then get them all. So at the moment I am really balancing in between buying physical and ebooks.

ddickinson: A lot of mine are factual books, history mainly. But I have a nice selection of most topics. I enjoy reading new things and there are only a few topics I would avoid instantly, like soppy romance novels and celebrity biographies. Two genres that seem to dominate the book stores here in the UK.
I mostly prefer fantasy books or historical novels. Sometimes a crime or thriller is also nice. I can agree with you on the soppy romance and biographie stuff, I also avoid that.

Of course I have a few which I did not really like and I am often thinking I should get rid of them but somehow I could not convince myself to really do it.
Again I am the same. I try to be careful with the books I buy, and so far I have not had too bad a time with books that I didn't like. I do run into them from time to time, and usually I donate them to a local charity shop. I think what makes it hard to get rid of them is that you paid for it, you earned that money and so you earned that book, and it's never nice to just get rid of something you worked hard for.

I did mean paperwhite, sorry about that. :-)

It's not a bad e-reader. I prefer a real book more than anything, but the Kindle paperwhite does a very good job of giving the impression you are reading a book. Even the touch screen has been given a paper like texture. The light is also quite nice, I just have it on low when needed, but without it is just fine.

That's probably for the best. Maybe stick to fruit juice from now on, then you can be sure nothing has happened to what you are drinking. :-)

But water that came from rain, not the ocean. During the process of getting turned into rain and then getting absorbed by the tree/plant, all of that nastiness that you keep thinking about would have been filtered away. What's the alternative if you don't want something with water in it?

ddickinson: I likes most of the Monty Python stuff. It was not as good once John Cleese left, but it was a very interesting and wacky show, with some very funny moments. I like a lot of Terry Gilliam films as well, especially stuff like Brazil. You can see how working with the others had rubbed off on him.
The sketch shows were good but those two movies... they are so funny. I think they should pretty much be compulsory watching.
I'm gonna have to get the DVD of their reunion at some point, although it will be lacking something with out Graham Chapman :(

It's not just you. The forests are bad, but the castles full of traps are worse. You think "Oh great, I've spotted the trap so I can avoid it" then he just walks straight over the bloody thing anyway :/

I did like the movies more than the series overall, but there were some very funny scenes in the T.V. series. I have not seen the reunion show, it seemed to be just them repeating old jokes. I think you are right though about Graham Chapman, without him it just wouldn't be Monty Python.
