EndreWhiteMane: Hello Frederites! Gosh am I having fun today, is it by any chance National Stupid Day?
Lawyer, doctor, insurance company and the boss, all brain damaged, sheesh.

Hope all of you are doing well. Beware the stoopid peeple. :-)
It's always National Stupidity Day.

Can't complain here. Sorry you're having so much fun with the imbecile brigade.

Sounds lovely - oh my....sorry to hear that ...

I'm ok - how are you aside from having the aforementioned fun?
afternoons...
just to let you know, floor 33 looks pretty much like 32, except a bit harder...
Okay, I have done enough mind-numbing for today.

Hi Elt, glad the cold is finally getting better. I'm pretty good today in spite of the idiots.
Done with them for now and looking at all the new releases that are out.
Wonder if we'll get the 4th Deponia game, strange not to see it here.

ElTerprise: Well there is a reason it's considered the weakest Arkham game (not counting Arkham Knight). I liked the Crime Scene stuff though...
I'm curious...which three minutes are you referring to - or do you only mean three minutes in general?
The crime scene moments were so simplistic, and yet so different than the other games, it made me think two things -

1. That the Gotham City police are not just corrupt, they're collectively suffering from some kind of contagious brain damage.

2. That Batman is also a complete moron since he inexplicably chose to discard the improved technology in later years, despite its proven effectiveness. (See also shock gloves and glue grenades, the latter of which he uses in Arkham City, only they're portrayed as Mr. Freeze's special item that you get after beating him, providing you with ice platforms rather than ones made of adhesive), further demonstrating that even when they halfassedly try, the Origins designers wouldn't know what originality was if it came up to them and chewed their ass off.)

The three minutes would be when (HI THERE, THESE ARE SPOILERS FOR A SHITTY GAME THAT MANGLES NOT ONLY THE ARKHAM SERIES, BUT THE COMIC BOOK BASED HISTORY AS WELL, YOU'RE NOT MISSING A DAMN THING BY LOOKING AT THIS AND SKIPPING THE GAME, TRUST ME)

Joker is having his epiphany sequence regarding a sense of purpose, the feeling that he's found someone he can relate to, that everything he's been through has all been leading to a greater point.
I especially liked that Harley was sitting there swooning, obviously thinking that he was referring to her, not realizing that he was talking about Batman all along.

Okay, getting pissed off now. Why in the holy hell is the forum refusing to let me post anything longer than a sentence or two, forcing me to edit, and edit, and edit my post to get the whole thing in, only to fuck me over and not load the last bit of it?

Happy to hear it. =) Always a good place to start when idiots are trying to wear you down with weapons-grade stupidity.

Good afternoon. =)

You make that game sound so appealing...it doesn't sound torturously boring at all.

Thank you and glad to hear that.
I guess it might show up here delayed. If i'm not mistaken Deponia 3 wasn't a Day-1 release here either....

Yes the crime scenes were easy but they basically the only thing that wasn't iterative in the game - they had potential if they were a bit more difficult and refined. Batman is a great detective after all :)

Well it's prime example to show conitnuity problems when developing a prequel - reminds me of the series Star Trek Enterprise which also suffered from being a prequel to the Original Series...

Yep that moment was really good - liked the idea of having a potion of the game portrayed from Joker's point of view.

hehe... I must have some kind of masochistic hidden tendencies since I can't play anything else until this is over.

Did I mention that for about 3/4th of the time I've been using the same offensive spell throughout the game?
Well, alright I've added points to this ability and it has gotten stronger and other bonuses... but it pretty much looks exactly as it did when I got it... around floor 10 or so :)

One of the big problems of that game is the combination of someone on the design team evidently loving the fighting, while thinking they could improve it. (And failing miserably in the process.)
Getting level 15 for the combat challenge was an absolute pain in the ass because they decided to make it so Batman can't cancel out of gadget moves. I guess he'd rather get punched in the head.
On top of that, they screwed up the targeting, causing battles to be a hit and miss nightmare wherein Batman will leap across the screen like a kangaroo with a rocket up its ass when he feels like it, but will also swing at nothing but air and ruin combos.

If they'd removed about half the fighting and actually focused on the characters for longer than three minutes, I might've started giving a shit about the game in general.

Yes the fighting was definitely worse than in City and i also the aiming issues - did you use a controller or M+K ?
Actually the should've shortened the game - it dragged on way too long...
Just checking something for no reason

Oh my, it worked?

Edit: why CTRL + L gives "Spoiler" thing, but actually does nothing?

ElTerprise:
Three hours...?
Shit...
I am very sorry. These pills are kicking my ass when I don't sleep well the night before. Fell asleep in this painful frigging chair, just woke up.
Silly, silly people...I lived through the 90's in America. I've got enough musical torture to bury someone in crap that'll make them want to puncture their eardrums with a meat skewer.

moonshineshadow: Huh?
-laughs- Some context - Owl lady was trying to torture me into submission with some French singer person.
My response was to throw out a handful of audio awfulness far, far worse than what she passed to me.
