moonshineshadow: Well... There are different things playing into it. I don't like the combat system. I hate having to look after this huge party of characters. And the isometric view is not exactly helping ;-)

toxicTom: I see, you prefer to hit something, when you click, and not just give orders to hit something. I can relate to that, it's more gratifying ;-)
You might enjoy Two Worlds 2 and Divinity 2 - both are not "the best games ever", but definitely worth it when they are on sale. Two Worlds 2 for the soundtrack alone, IMO.
Yeah that sounds about right ;-)
I have Divinity 2, perhaps I should install it this evening :-)

It's pretty good. My main complaints would be:

A bit "harmless" (family friendly...). I like my games a little more... "visceral". There's no blood and gore to speak of. Also, be prepared for (mildly) sexy armour, if something like that bothers you.

And it gets a bit grindy towards the end of the original game (Ego Draconis).

On the other hand - there's some great humour too :-)

Well I don't mind if games have no blood and gore, not that I mind if they have them either ;-)
And in regards to the armor... well I just find it silly and ridiculous but it is not like it bothers me :D

The game is rather light-hearted, so the lack of "red" didn't bother me that much. See screenshot above for the extend of silly armour. It's just that all the pieces have those big... bulges. The NPC is no warrior in the sense, so lack of protection can be excused. But Larian obviously had fun "staging" the cleavage of female NPCs in cutscenes and dialogues. And damn... I really have many screenshots of that game...

These two statements wouldn't happen to be related, by any chance?

Edit: Not that I'm complaining, but....how is it that I keep being able to post links when I'm in the negative like this? O_o

Lol, no just tall hills, deep valleys...

You should report to the "what did just break" thread immediately! We can't having you post links with a rep like that :-P

I dunno. It was the same way with Blob1 :-p
Maybe once you get above the rep requirement for links, linking stays enabled forever, even if you go back below the requirement?

I still can't figure out how I'm so similar to him. I don't get salty over nothin'. Just annoy others is all.
leave poor Zeo alone! :P
Ok, that was one expensive lunch break. I am now three 3DS games richer and have no idea how that happened.

You're also quite averse to hugs which couldn't be further from the Blob.

CarrionCrow: Additional - Maybe someone can give me a hand with this.
I need a game with an actual story, and characters I don't want to shove through a woodchipper. (Glaring at you so godsdamned hard, Duke Nukem Forever...)
Feel free to throw some suggestions out.
Humm... Death to Spies? Have you tried that... I haven't... but I have this feeling it might be a joyful game for you.
They made some extra content for it too. Russians have made some solid stuff, that I can at least vouch for - thinking of Metro Redux...
Morning all, glad you're all OK or better today.
Still pretty bad here but at least not worse. No food for 36 hours isn't helping but I have no desire to eat(ever again). ;)
Sipping coffee and waiting to wake up a bit.
*hugs and waves with disinfectant spray all around*

Did you ever finish the extension? ... You may have mentioned it already but I can't remember...
I occasionally consider going back to the last part of the extension and just give it a one more try :)
But other than that, Divinity 2 was quite awesome.

If you feel like eating, maybe natural yoghurt would be a good idea. It helps rebuilding the digestion "flora". Otherwise saltsticks (for the salt, and lye dough is easily digestible) and cola (sugar->carbon hydrates->energy, and caffeine is actually good to get the digestion in order and prevent/stop diarrhoea).

Yes, I've played the Developer's Cut, which means after the ending of Ego the game just goes on. And I've played through the whole of it, not ultra-complete (missed a few things), but as complete as I managed without consulting walkthroughs all the time.

It was a lot of fun, although cracking all the flying fortresses of the generals (to complete all the tower quests) became a little boring. Other than that, no complaints.

I think I'll give it one more day before I eat anything. I've been drinking some cola and have both saltine crackers and pretzel sticks in the house.
I made it through taking my new meds OK so I don't think it's that. Just a bug from hell I guess.
Thank you.
