AgentBirdnest: I have problems, in case you guys haven't figured that out by now :-D
What problems, I haven't noticed ;-P
*hug*

CarrionCrow: Gotta say, though, I've got you beat. (Sorry, have to gloat a little bit.) Everyone who gave a crap about appearances and gatherings is either several hundred miles away or completely insane now, so all I have to do is get up, make coffee and go from there. -laughs-
And I have to say: Yes I am with my parents, but that is because I wanted to, and there I will stay all the time. No need to visit anyone else, since my siblings will also come here somewhere between the holidays and that are all relatives left in my family :D

Thanks. I don't get enough hugs. I always get one from my smokin' hot physician, though :D

Sounds good. Could be worth visiting often just for that :P
OK, here's one for you to ponder. Had to go to the store myself today to get some cold medicine so I don't feel quite as much like crap.
The pharmacy is in the very back of a packed grocery store in the opposite corner from the entrance. I had to walk through the middle of 5 gazillion people, spreading germs as I went and then back again to get to my car.
3 days from now about 1000 people will probably call in sick. Talk about planning, I fell like typhoid Endre. :/
I think this is my first time checking in here! Like all the "pre-game" chat ;) I think by about Monday / Tuesday I'll be in full on "clean and cook" mode. Tonight - some games, tomorrow light cleaning and easy shopping (most of the big, horrific market of doom shopping is set).

That's some brilliant planning on the parts of those who built the store. It's set up so everyone who has to do what you did will be in the exact same position. (Which will keep them in business, since one person will probably infect a handful and eventually someone else will have to go to the pharmacy, thus perpetuating the cycle....)

Was going to ask if you've got a lot of stuff happening, but if you're transitioning from lighter to full-on prep on Monday, that pretty much answers the question. -laughs-

Ahhhh, Bob & Doug ..... an important part of Canadian Culture.

My driveway is 200 feet long. I don't shovel it. At best I plow it. At worst, I drive up and down it a couple times with my truck to break a trail.

IronArcturus: It's been extremely cloudy in the US for days now. Does anyone live anywhere where it's sunny all the time? :P
Not all the time, but here we have mostly sunny weather throughout the year.. Even when it's overcast or raining, it usually lasts only for a while.. Of course there are some notable exceptions where the skies open for good and we get wet to the bone.. :D Unfortunately, there are some towns nearby where the people are faced with bad weather and many many problems because of the rain..
I think I've just found a good way to put the competition to use....

There are only so many truly horrible games a person can "gift" to someone through GOG.
The competition, though....they have oodles and oodles of games any sane person would be mortified to have.
I can totally make use of that....>=)

Good plan! ;-) It's really hard to post in here with no graphics. Or is it just me?
Edit: that's better, they're back. ;)

Yeah, the northern hemisphere has been getting all the crummy weather lately. Where is Spring?

What graphics? You mean before everything turned gray? :)

EndreWhiteMane: Mornin' all, was about to write a scathing post about the corporate bullshit going on with Nordic but decided it would ruin my festive mood. ;)
Glad to hear everyone is doing at least OK, sorry about the headaches and colds and stuff, sounds like a lot of people are victims of our crazy weather, myself included. <sneeze, cough>

AgentBirdnest: I'm doing alright. My physician made some time to see me yesterday, and made sure I was okay. She even wrote me a new prescription for more of my medication, so I won't run out this month :-)
Good for you:) I was just switched to the generic brand for my antidepressants and the change is not going that great, but hey, at least I'm not dead, right?
