EndreWhiteMane: Nice new avatar! What are you studying? I'm back to biology again. ;)
.........................................
Hello all, hope everyone is peachy or better.
Still not very well here but reasonably functional and smiling.
*hugs, waves and fruit salad*

AgentBirdnest: Thanks. *takes some fruit, but not the salad* ;-)
Math(s - for you crazy non-Americans.) It seems I forgot how to subtract. It comes back to me fairly quickly though after a quick lesson and a few minutes of practice. I'm terribly frightened by trigonometry though, and whatever the hell "slope" is. I actually kinda enjoy algebra though :-)

Smiling is always good. I hope things will get a bit better for you though, of course.
Any thoughts on the promo?
Geometry is one I like to refresh on once in a while, it's pretty fun.
Nothing in the promo for me, did add Solus to my wishlist to be watched as it progresses.
Just popping in to say that Agent's new avatar is awesome.

Oh, and hi, everyone! ;)

*big hugs and waves all around*

They pluralize it for some reason?
As in MATHmaticS.

Hi Akh!

As Endre said. Not sure why we drop the "s" though. Maybe it is just too darn hard for us to say "Maths". It's a bit of a strain for me to make that "ths" sound >__o

Yeah, that one looks really cool. I'm keeping an eye on it, along with The Long Dark. I'm intrigued by these "survival" games. I've never played a game like that. The closest I've played would probably be STALKER, and that doesn't really seem close at all.

Because we are Americans, and it is our God-given right to be as different as we please from the rest of the world!
Y'all use Celsius? Screw your rules! We're sticking with Fahrenheit!
Meter sticks? We don't need 'em! We got yardsticks!
Decent chocolate? That's for wusses! Only dude we allowed to make any was Ghirardelli, but we'll give him a free pass, 'cause he was cool.

Wonder how much it costs to get one of those coffee machines they have in convenience stores, the ones that're essentially a frigging keg of coffee. This one pot at a time shit isn't anywhere near fast enough.

A commercial grade coffee pot (the kind that makes at least three or four gallons) will cost you around $500+ http://www.foodservicewarehouse.com/coffee-shop/commercial-coffee-makers/c3414.aspx?filter=0:Department:Coffee%20Makers

Very cool of you to dig that up for my currently lazy ass, thank you.

Course, at the same time, holy shit that's over 500 dollars, I'll just stick with a pot at a time since I'm way too cheap for such expenditures.

No problem. There are also coffee urns, which are about the same thing you see at McDonalds for the coffee and tea. They can start out at around 50 cups per brew, but most are at least 100 (can't remember gallon size, sorry). They're usually a bit cheaper than commercial coffee pots, they just take up a good amount of counter space.

It's okay. 100 cups, 8 oz. per, 800 ounces total, 6 gallons 32 oz. That would work, and be cheaper. Maybe something to consider for later on.

Or you could do what I have to do and cut down to about 2 pots a day. Helped get my blood pressure to a number that doesn't try to pop the cuff on my meter or make my eyeballs bug out. :-)
Edit: Mine just read 113/72. Yay!

You're no fun. -laughs- (Keyboard tried to say "you're no funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" by itself. Probably need to stop slamming it.)

Seriously, though, glad to hear you're doing better in that regard. Might follow your example and attempt to cut back a (tiny) bit.

One other thing before I forget (while trying to avoid words with the letter "N", think I halfway broke that one...) - started taking the fun-time pills and I had a thought, feel free to tell me what you think.
See, I think the reason why they have that nasty tendency of sending people running for the razors (and that's not hyperbole, someone actually did slice their wrists open and die after taking it for 3 months) is that it tends to activate their brain in such a way that all the shit they have way deep down inside starts popping out, and the poor dears fall to pieces over it.
Between that and the possibility of all pleasurable sensation being reduced or eliminated all together, some people tend to get a little "I need to die right fucking now" on it.
(Is it bad that I'm laughing as I type that? Hmm. Maybe. Who knows. Maybe I'm just vindictive towards all the 'normals' getting to feel what it's like to get royally mindfucked and crumble while trying to deal with it. Or maybe I'm just a sadist deep down and them hurting makes me giggle like a happy little schoolgirl...)
But I digress. Question is - what do you think makes people end up going off the deep end so hard while taking it?

I've taken some that make me feel better and some that had the opposite effect. My doc always has me check in every 2 weeks and call immediately if I or someone else notices a big change in my behavior.
Simple fact: They never know exactly what they're treating so have no real idea how to treat it, other than experimentation.
Someday they may get a better handle on what brain chemistry does what, at this point we're essentially intelligent Guinea Pigs. Sad but true.
