CarrionCrow: Gotta love pros and cons. On the downside, had to run errands and go shopping. But on the plus side, managed to not buy huge amounts of alcohol as I'd originally planned.
As a general rule alcohol and the type of meds you're taking don't play well together.
Might want to go with one or the other. :-)
j0ekerr: So I just got a prank-call from what I can gather is a bunch of kids who are high.
The paranoia-inducing bit is that they knew my name. Which makes me wonder how they knew it. And then my mind starts working overtime and coming up with all sort of doomsday scenarios in which l33t haxx0rz steal my identity and everything else.
Fortunately it doesn't seem likely. The idiot in question sounded young, and claimed that I had logged some sort of ticket to something that sounded suspiciously like LOL, and that I could win Four tho..nnn..th ze...nth...oth, if I answered a question or two, he didn't make up his mind about it. He was also doing that incredibly stupid thing of not saying every third syllable to make it look as if it had been garbled. Plus I could hear laughter in the background, I doubt any actual scammers would do that.
But they knew my name...
I'd be a lot more relaxed if I knew who they were and could burn them and their families to the ground.
Neighbor, relative, somebody eavesdropping when you used your phone, etc.
I wouldn't worry too much. ;-)
