Excitement? *looks around* Um, I'll just be lurking in that corner over there then.
Life has apparently decided to be nice to me. That's the only explanation I have for my boss staying in his office all day instead of pestering me.
Vnlr: We've been hoarding for a later more apt date :)
*good evening hugs and a cup 'o tea*
How is life treating you currently?
Ooh, tea!! Perfect for a quiet evening. Thanks. *sips tea* *good evening hugs and a cup 'o tea*

Suit yourself :p
*draws up a cozy chair for you to be seated in, and a little tablet to put the tea on*
I had a big discussion about Germany a little while ago. Granddad is a bit of a european history freak and I heard him out about the time of the unification. A fascinating period, and a fun talk. But thank god I don't live in those days :)
I wonder if Bismarck is still a bit of a national hero?

Bismarck a national hero? Good question. My history teachers seemed to think so. But unfortunately most people nowadays don't even seem to know who he was. At least that's the impression I get.
AgentBirdnest: And Yez showed up for a few minutes but apparently went into lurker mode.
*big evening hug* :-)
You don't say? Mysterious person, that Yez. I just can't wrap my head around her. :P *big evening hug* :-)
*laughs* Hello, Agent! *lazy 'I don't want to get up from this cozy chair' hug*

I once heard my classmates in secundary school mock their history courses. "All those people are dead anyway, how is this stuff still relevant". Bismarck a national hero? Good question. My history teachers seemed to think so. But unfortunately most people nowadays don't even seem to know who he was. At least that's the impression I get.
That made me want to cause some havoc ...
But anyway ... looks like we'll be having a hell of a cold night here. It's freezing slightly already and the sky is crystal clear ... looks like winter finaly caught up in these parts :)

CarrionCrow: Eh, couldn't think of something intensely negative that would fit in 16 characters. So I went with that instead.
How're you doing today?
Kind of a rough day here but hangin' in there. Goin' through my collection of free games, forgot how much cool stuff is in there. How're you doing today?
How's the day treating you so far?

Pretty much all you can do. Worst case scenario? Say fuck it, take a nap, then start again. How's the day treating you so far?
That reminds me of how many free GOG games I've never played but want to. Will have to sink into those at some point.
Can't complain here. Pretty standard day. Thinking of doing a combination of Typing of the Dead: Overkill (which I feel like an idiot about since I've had it for a long time but only realized within the last couple days that they also included the standard light-gun type of the game with the typing version) and 12 is better than 6, which looks like a stylized, Old West version of Hotline Miami.
Beyond that, will be digging through my discarded rental game pile, try to move some of those into the beaten category so they're done for good.

I do this once in a while. I STILL can't believe I haven't fired up Magrunner, despite loving the premise, the supposed Lovecraft-inspired beings from beyond and the gorgeous first person "Portal Puzzler" visuals / style. I really have to fix this sooner rather than later.

This has to be one of the greatest posts ever, simply for the number of edits ;) I'm glad I'm not the only one who flags an "edit" on a post I go back over more often than not. edit : Oh, and good evening everyone.

Shit, wasn't even thinking about all the stuff GOG's given away over the last couple years. I really have to fix this sooner rather than later.
Also looking forward to trying that one. Maybe in a Lovecraft triple feature between that, Shadow of the Comet and Prisoner of Ice.

Oooooh sounds good. I might put off Magrunner a bit longer and try to attempt that one next October ;) And wow yeah I wasn't even THINKING about the games GoG gives every new account! It took me about 5 minutes to realize what you meant when you said you weren't considering the GoG giveaways LOL.
I STILL have an unredeemed code I made for myself including all the freebies that aren't added to accounts. I can't believe I haven't touched the Savage World one or the weird Sci-Fi Ultima. I don't know if I'll ever get to those.
