AgentBirdnest: Coolio. I'll give it a try. I need to do some maintenance soon.
I used to be smart about these things... Like 14 years ago... I couldn't keep up with new tech anymore, and now I am a total moron :-P
I'm lazy. If something works, I stick with it. I used to be smart about these things... Like 14 years ago... I couldn't keep up with new tech anymore, and now I am a total moron :-P
CCleaner works. Defraggler works. Spybot works. Media Player Classic Works. Winamp works.
I don't need people reinventing the wheel when I've got things covered already.

AgentBirdnest: [noob question] What benefits do other defragmenters have over the standard Windows disk defragmenter?
CarrionCrow: I think Defraggler does a better job of defragmenting, personally. It also shows me exactly what's fragmented and how much, so I can pick and choose what I want defragged when I don't feel like leaving it running to do the entire hard drive.
Also, this checks on my hard drive overall, tells me whether or not it's running properly, stuff like that.
CarrionCrow: Good afternoon. =)
Yeah, I like it. Haven't had a need to change it out for something else. With computers that's always a plus.

Okay just checked the weather report. We weren't supposed to get snow today.
We've gotten 8 inches in the past 7 hours. :P

tinyE: XD So you noticed I haven't been here so much today. We had a full house and it's been snowing heavy for about 10 hours strait so I actually had to work today. However baring a disaster I'm more or less done for the day so I'm here to annoy the shit out of you as usual. :D It also shows me exactly what's fragmented and how much, so I can pick and choose what I want defragged when I don't feel like leaving it running to do the entire hard drive.

So don't worry about that. -laughs-
Also, I have got to ask - how much of snow's novelty has been lost for you by this point?
I was around it enough to learn to hate it, and you've got me beaten hands-down when it comes to sheer volume, so I'm imagining you fantasizing about clearing things with a flamethrower.

I wouldn't mind if that happened here just once... We are having the warmest winter on record. 65 degrees and sunny today. Haven't seen a flake of snow since Christmas day.

ddickinson: Not me. From what I have seen it's probably not my kind of game. I will have a closer look someday, but it's not one high on my list.
EndreWhiteMane: Even first glance opinions would help. I've been watching it for a while but wonder if it's nearly as good as Rock Paper Shotgun makes it out to be.
Totalbiscuit just released a 'WTF is' video about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2n4LxW2RbM

What Endre said about it was pretty much echoed in the video.
Unless something very big comes along in the meantime, that one's next for purchase.

Our winter in Seattle has been incredibly mild. Shockingly mild. So mild it feels to me like we're all doomed much sooner than we currently assume.

CarrionCrow: -laughs- That sounds kinda familiar. At my location, it's usually between 10 and 20 degrees during the day for this part of February. Our winter in Seattle has been incredibly mild. Shockingly mild. So mild it feels to me like we're all doomed much sooner than we currently assume.
Right now it's 65.
I understand weather doesn't equal climate. But my report is far from isolated. :)
