'tis better to laugh with yourself, rather than at yourself..?
:P
Anyone outside the door might think I'm having a heated argument with someone else, but in actuality it's just me screaming things like "DUMBASS!" and "WHY THE HELL DID YOU HIT JUMP THERE!?!?!" to myself as I die repeatedly. -laughs-

Sunless Sea is like a "Magical Storybook", that's about the best I can describe it.
The graphics and music are superb but almost unneeded.
You create your own story as you go, the graphics and music seem there just bring the story 'alive'. Which they do well.
Mostly a text adventure, partly an rpg mixed with some strategy.
It requires a LOT of reading and is very slow paced.
The world it creates is fantastically dystopian, eerie and quite believable.
Everything is woven together to make it very unique.
Settings are versatile, windowed or fullscreen, sound settings and several others.
Permadeath or 'save as you wish' modes. OK so far optional tutorial.
All in all a beautiful 'game' but certainly not one for twitch gamers, very little action and a whole lot of interaction.
When I've played a bit longer I'll do a game card review but I'm convinced it deserves five stars.
I'm enjoying it immensely. I will buy the OST if/when it becomes available.

Thanks for letting us know, will have to bump that one up a fair bit on my list of stuff to buy next. =)
Additional - found this while looking for more info on the soundtrack, and now Sunless Sea will be the next game I buy when I have the coin to do so, sale running or not.
Also, could only find old info regarding it, but months ago the developer was saying that the soundtrack will eventually be made available for sale.
At the time, they still had legality issues to iron out with the composer.

Only thing keeping me away before was you either had to wait 10 minutes for each 'page' or pay a small fee to hurry the content along.
The entire thing is free if you don't mind the pace, and he has stated he will keep it free.

Patience - I generally don't have it.

I don't have patience when it comes to someone or something saying, "NO. You can't do that right now."
But thankfully, I'm not so far gone that I can't enjoy something with a slower pace to it.
Watching a quickie Let's Play of it now, and I'm already liking the idea of gradually fleshing out the map, improving bit by bit until I'm finally able to hit every point and see everything.
