How's the day treating you so far?

Not too bad,it's a little bit easier today.Still a hard time but it will improve as each day goes by:-)

I'm sorry you're having to go through that, but it's good to see that you're being positive, even with the shitty awfulness of it all.

By the way, while the weekend sale don't have anything of interest. The Sunless Sea looks quite interesting.

I was thinking more of Command and Conquer style strategy games. Games with a world map are allowed to have a bit of size distortion on the world map, otherwise you would not be able to see your armies.

I know. I was just being silly. :D

Empire Earth did come out during that stage of early 3D models though. Its unit models are more rough and awkward looking seen in hindsight.

One of the things I used to love about the 2D era, was the pre-rendered backgrounds. Some games mixed 3D models with beautiful pre-a rendered backgrounds. Onimusha on the PS2 is a great example. The first two games had gorgeous and detailed pre-rendered backgrounds. But then the third game came out with 3D backgrounds and it just doesn't look as nice.

Yeah, it looks like a good game. The idea that it might be anything like FTL puts it right up there in my book. And the setting is pretty great.

It got dull fast. Finished off Soulstorm instead, and now I'm trying to decide on a game with heavier content to dig into in between playing some heavy difficulty twitch platformers.

Okay,not recommended then...gotcha:-)

Any takers on Sunless Sea yet?
