CarrionCrow: -laughing hard- In the real world, people would be lining up to beat your kicker's ass.

Got sidetracked playing Saints Row 3. Tried putting 2 on, but it's a choppy mess. Playable, but just barely. Will have to break out my 360 for that one, since it runs like shit on the PC.
What makes it better is that just one of those would have tied the game! He missed three straight game tying field goals! After our AWFUL defense made three straight stands! Heck if he had hit two of those three then maybe we would've squeaked out a win...Man in real life not only would they have had to escort him out of the stadium hidden in a luggage bag, but you can only imagine what would've happened to his house...

The Saints Row Powertools will fix Saints Row 2's speed/framerate issue, it's easy to configure too. Go grab it at the link and just read the readme. http://saintsrowpowertools.com/

I just tried the 1860s Old America mod for Mount & Blade: Warband again since I heard it got a major update recently. Graphically it's really great and the gunplay is decent, but the battlefields have too many large clumps of trees, making it hard to see the enemy (a problem which they don't have, of course), and the enemies tend to blend into the environment even without the trees due to the overall color scheme. It's a minor issue that's hard to overlook, I'll stick with 1866 for the original Mount & Blade.

superstande: Good Morning!
Finally beat up a tough fellow in Risen.
This game is awesome for one another reason again - you can save mid-combat!
Totally missed this option in several games.
Especially in Risen, since you can't just smash your way through... It's really easy to die that way.
Gotta watch the opponent all the time.
Sweet! Who'd ya beat?

It was the toughest guy in the camp... can't remember his name, Gregar or something.
Also bet all my money on the win :)

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head. The probability decided to go funky, giving you the better defense and the blind, brain-damaged kicker.

Thank you for passing that along. Game still runs like shit, but that's probably because of running it on integrated graphics. That and badly optimized games don't mix.

Still need to get into Mount and Blade at some point, now that I have all the expansions for it. Course, from the sound of it, I'll need to clear a few hundred hours of game time if I start adding mods to it all.

To be fair the Football Mogul games as a whole (in my experience) can get buggy. It's not always against the player when it goes screwy, I had it (the computer) go to a Prevent defense for like ten plays straight, I just kept running draw plays and getting 20 plus yards a carry. Actually the running game as a whole is messed up, when playing the game manually it's not unusual to end up with over 200 yards rushing with a average gain of like 6 yards.

I'm using a laptop with Intel HD Integrated graphics and it's running Saints Row 2 fine after using the Saints Row Powertools. My Saints Row Powertools speed is set to .90, if that helps? And not to making any assumptions or anything, but you did copy/paste it into the main folder and edit the Powertools in the notepad, right?

Yeah, tons of great total conversion mods to be had! I just started playing one set in the Imperial Age.

Yes, I did. Used your setting for the .ini file, but it still feels off, like it's going too slowly and too fast at the same time.
No big thing, I'll fiddle around with it more later, see if I can tweak it all so it looks and feels good to play.

You can try turning Ambient Occlusion down or off, it's extremely power hungry. I noticed an immediate improvement when I turned mine off (though it made the game a bit bright!) although now I can play the game with it turned on with no lag even though nothing has changed hardware wise, what a weird...well I mean AWFUL port.

Yeah, it's pretty goddamn bad, all right. Just glad I have it for the 360 in case I get extremely annoyed with trying to tweak it and say to hell with it.

Starting to get sleepy, going to bed before I crash here. Have a good night. =)

Good morning.
I just found out that they did a sudden huge update to Tribes: Ascend. So I'm thinking about booting up the game again for the first time in like over two years and play a few rounds.

Ho, interesting! I thought that game was abandoned! I may have to give it another go sometime.

Woke up with a blazing headache for the 6th day in a row... but other than that, I'm okay/good :-)

Any fun plans for the weekend?
