So I'm playing Soul Gambler, it's my first "visual novel" type game (unless Long Live The Queen counts) and it's actually pretty entertaining. I guess it could be described better as a "choose your own adventure" game, but the difference between that and visual novels seems a bit blurry, at least to me as a outsider to those genres.

In the meantime, it's coffee, tug-of-war with a rope, and some relocating of clutter so I can have my stereo set up the way I'd like it. I hadn't realized just how much crap I'd stuffed into my entertainment center.

Sorry to hear that you have had to go through all that. I have never had the religious part of it, but my partners family have told me to burn in hell enough times. They have said and done much worse over the years to me, but that's not anything I need to go into. Feel free to vent all you like, the thread is the perfect place for it as there is usually someone around who will lend a friendly ear.
