adaliabooks: Hey Stilton.

Yeah, we've done all our food shopping this week, and the presents (what we were getting this year) have all been sorted too.

I do like a bit of snow at Christmas, but as we are working until the 23rd, if it could hold off until then that would be great.
Hi, adalia.

Its a good feeling having more or less everything done with a few days' 'comfort zone' still to come. And snow on the 23rd would be perfect, although if we get any it usually hits around Jan or Feb, which, although not perfect timing, is still nice.
One of my favourite holiday memories is from News Year Day 2000. We had 20 people out to my in-laws cabin. It was a crisp -25C. We went out and shoveled off a huge patch of ice on the lake, and played hockey for hours. Some of the people didn't skate too well, so we had some people running in boots, while others were skating. The ice was exceptionally shitty. Bumps and cracks everywhere, but man, did we have fun. It was just a 10 on 10 free for all. No one really played positions, and there were no line changes or plans. We brought, literally, a truck load of beer out on the lake with us. The game finally ended because we couldn't find a single beer that wasn't frozen solid.

I would have been the guy sitting inside by a nice warm fire, drinking unfrozen beer and watching you through the window. :-)

BTW: Hi Stilton!

Well in our case it was somewhat down to necessity as we're working, but it is definitely nice to know it's all done.

Just a light dusting of snow Christmas Eve and Christmas Day would be lovely :)

Hey there, Endre ;-) How's your day going? And have you put donsanderson away in a cupboard or wrapped him in tissue paper and put him up in the attic? That avatar makes me think of another white-bearded gentleman who appears this time of year. There's no connection....it there?
Yarrr I be thinking of plundern' me some booty in yonder waters, foreign and distant. I may gets me a letter of marque and becomes a corsair.

Cracked ice sounds scary. Specially to someoone who's never seen more than a thin crust of ice on any body of water, usually puddles.

Yeah, mothballed him for a while. ;)
Nope, no relation to Mr Claus at all, sorry. :-)

Welcome to the club, matey! :D Here's a site for your avatar considerations:
http://piratetar.framiq.com/

Or, even better, in case you want to remain the lagomorph Max, templates for pirate hats with transparent background and same with eyepatches.

Anyhow, you can always be a viking pirate too-just put an eyepatch over your current design! After all, the vikings people usually think about are the raiders, aka a sort of pirates.

Cheers!

P.S. In case you changed your mind already, just disregard this post...

Hope you're feeling better and the 'busy' part of that ends soon and you can relax and enjoy the season ;-)
Good morning genkicolleen. Good to know you're feeling better.

I'm seriously considering a game for which this is appropriate theme music. Help me!

Pirate Vikings. Those pesky ninjas don't stand a chance now.

If this doesn't help keep you away from truck driving, I don't know what will.

Don't know, a pink angora sweater and high heels might work wonders for him, Viking, Pirate, Cross-Dresser. Hmmm. :)

Have you ever tried that 'Santa Claus in Trouble' freebie game? I've never completed it, but for a bit of seasonal ho ho ho its not bad. My daughter was way better at it than me. A twelve year old's dexterity is an enviable thing when you're my age. I've also been hit on my horned helmet a few thousand times, which can be a bit of a handicap...
Feelin' better, but things are only going to get busier... as things are wont to do at this time of year! :D There's sooo much to do, but finished up helping Grandma, at least!
