AgentBirdnest: As Earthworm Jim would say, "Groovy!" Not a musical or comedy at all, for once! Looks like something I'd really enjoy :-)

And it's very great to hear about your lovely evening! Hope the rest goes well too.
*big hug*
I can't remember any singing, but I do know it was not a musical. The style of it reminded me a little of The Last Unicorn cartoon, for some reason.

Thank you. *big hug*

So how are you enjoying your game so far?

HAHAHAHA!!! I'm dying right now!

Its such a good depiction of the NES Game!!! :D

ddickinson: I often prefer the older Don Bluth movies over Disney when it comes to the American animation studios. I guess some of my faviorite Disney movies would be Robin Hood, Sword in the Stone, and The Black Cauldron. I think Disney are very overrated compared to some of the lesser know studios such as Don Bluth or Studio Ghibli. Not to mention how many of their films, especially newer ones and the live action ones, are just terrible. Of course, that is just my opinion, so don't get mad if you do like them. :-)

Good evening, everyone!

I hope you are all doing well?
Good evening DD *big hug*
Doing okay here - how are you?

Hm... the Feivel movie was great (think that was a Don Bluth one)

AgentBirdnest: Yeah, much of JP was animatronic, but still some CG - like the T-Rex chasing the jeep - obviously that part had to be CG, but it still looks pretty real to me ê__ê
ILM did the effects for Jurassic Park, Twister, and Terminator 2 - I have no idea about Independence Day. (I used to be quite a nerd on this subject, back before every movie used CGI :-p)

Great point about Escape. Same could be said for Star Wars (old movies vs. the prequels). On the other hand, Terminator 2 looked significantly better than Terminator 1 when it came to effects, in my opinion.

I guess my whole point is that some movies got CGI right back then. I think when movie makers had to use CGI, as opposed to using it just because they could and it was easy, it looked better. If that makes any sense :-p
[/random rambling] :-)
Agreed. That's exactly the point. Nowadays there is way too much use of CGI - because they can.
Did you all know that Don Bluth used to work for Disney before he quit due to how they operated? He then started his own studio. In Ireland, I think.

It was indeed a Don Bluth film.

Glad to hear you are doing okay. I am doing good, thank you. Did you have a nice day at work?

I'm not familiar with The Last Unicorn either :-p

The game is lovely so far. I like the simple but funny art style. Good music, wonderful voiceovers, but most importantly - fun puzzles! Logical puzzles! The kinda that you have to sit ant think about, and maybe even write down on a piece of paper.
I just finished my assignment for the night - figuring out which shifts 4 different security guards worked at a factory, based on each guard giving a single clue. Quite a thinker. I'll have to thank my supervisor again for this lovely little game tomorrow.

It was quite good, if I remember correctly. It has a giant red bull made of fire. It even has the late great Christopher Lee as a voice. Here is the trailer:

Ho, looks cool! With music by America! Awesome! :-) *movie backlog suddenly growing* ,','',',','):-|

Speaking of thanking people for adventure games, I must thank you again for Primordia! I finally finished that over the weekend. It's a lovely little game. Cool story, some interesting and funny characters, and a really awesome atmosphere. A really nice adventure all around, and I'm already planning to play it again :-)
*big thank you hug*

Didn't know that. Thanks.

Thank you. That's good to hear.
Well it was quite stressful today - more crowded than usual which was related to some construction works in the city...

Out of curiosity. Which are you currently playing?

I seem to recall a better UK trailer, but I can't be sure. Often American trailers are quite bad (IMO), they focus too much on the celebrities and things, not the story. The Last Unicorn is a nice little cartoon, with a very nice storyline. Sadly another one that is often overlooked.

You are welcome. I need to play some of the Wadjet Eye games. I don't think I have played any yet.

That does not sound good. Do you think your work will get harder now that winter is on its way?

Well, we certainly do focus on celebrities too much here. (I think we talked about that last week...)

I own all but one of them, but I have just not gotten around to them yet.

AgentBirdnest: Puzzle Agent :-)
Not familiar with that one but it sounds a perfect game for you :)

Possibly. While the construction works should be done by tomorrow - the Deutsche Bahn is infamous for not being prepared for winter at all which also affects the private train companies. If we'll get a real winter soon things can get interesting because the job is supposed to end in about two weeks....

Which one is missing? The newest one?
I own all of them, but haven't played them all yet. The Shivah and Technobabylon are still backlogged for the moment.

Of course :-p It's filed under my "Agent Training" tag. Gotta keep my skills sharp ;-)
