What fun would a flight game be without a joystick? I guess I could use a keyboard, but that would be no fun. I already own one flight simulator on GOG that I have never played, so it makes no sense getting another one. Maybe you are right, too much common sense. But this has saved me from buying too many games. I don't know what I would do if I had a shelf as full as many on here have. Way to many games for me to play with the limited time I spend on computer games.


But that would mean them mud wresting on your lawn. And we all know how you feel about people on your lawn. :-)

Eh, it's nice to have, just in case. Having a pile that'll keep a person occupied for five years definitely covers the "What if I'm at a point where I don't have any money for games for a while?" question.

You do have a good point, though. Not having a joystick would kick immersion in the head, especially for someone like yourself who actually knows what flying a plane is like.
I'm hoping the joystick in the other room still works for when I get to things like Wing Commander, Freespace, Red Baron, anything flight-related.

A question - have you been playing anything fun recently? Wanting to get more ideas for stuff to try out once I'm done with my current bullshit.

Nothing new, been trying to get my hard drives cleaned up so I can get more stuff to fill 'em with. ;)

Course, you've got a lot of items that have a long way to go before they'll be 1.50 or 3 dollars apiece.

But still, the Star Wars stuff is done again, so it'll probably be another few months before another batch of Lucasarts stuff, so that's good at least.
Maybe we'll both get lucky and there'll be stuff on our lists during whatever GOG does for Valentine's Day.
Couldn't even remember that sale, but Hyper linked to it so there should be something good. The last sale had something like 30 items available, so that helps.

I don't remember the Valentines sale either, maybe something good. Another month and I'll be back to getting ready for garden season, turning my spare room back into a seed starting room. I usually take the laptop in to keep records and take game breaks, won't be buying much except garden stuff for a while.

Reporting in from unexpected absence: Still alive, still sick, but (slowly) getting better.

Have been playing WoW in the early early mornings and late late nights because sleep schedule is screwed up and WoW is nicely mindless unless doing high-end raiding.

Please send air hugs, as no touching the sick coughing person is currently allowed. Also, please inform sinuses that acting wonderful in the morning upon first awakening only to turn into possessed hell demons upon waking up from a two-hour nap is Not Nice.

I checked the old link, it was based around games with multiplayer components.
Figuring they won't do a straight repeat, so it should be a different theme, and with less than 60 percent of the catalog purchased there should be something from my list on it. (Hopefully.)

That's not a bad thing, balancing hobbies and interests out helps prevent burnout.
Also, I get what you mean completely. That's why I watch sales so hard.
