Did you just call me cheeky? And I wanted to share my cookies with you...
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Oh come on, don't let something trivial like that stop you from sharing some cookies. ;-P

What kind of cookies are we talking about, btw?

OT - did you follow the latest thriller with the the prices of the latest King's Bounty games in the Regionally Priced Games thread? You were the one I immediately thought of when mrkgnao posted MaGog's report.

CarrionCrow: List of RPGs

avatar
HypersomniacLive: Not a bad list at all, we have some in common, though I've already backlogged number of your wished ones. I'm surprised you didn't get the Mount and Blade bundle on release, it was a good deal.
I vaguely remember running out of money, or something else being a higher priority at the time.

I figure that initial bundle will end up being a repeater for big sales in the future, so I'll hold out til then.

l0rdtr3k: It was rather lazy. Didn't do much outside of jogging, playing RPGs and reading old "reports" linking D&D to satanism.
Nothing wrong with a lazy day, especially on the weekend. Do you enjoy jogging? How long do you usually jog for?

I remember seeing something about D&D and Satanism. I was not really paying attention as it seems like such a silly thing.

HypersomniacLive: Not sure I get what you mean there... ;-P

I'm ok. My friend's having a rather rough time. Her left is swollen and aches, and she can't focus on anything for more than a few minutes at time because of that. And she was not given any meds, she just has to patiently wait for the side-effects to wear off, which is going to take a while.

What's the status on your mother?
I'm glad to hear you are doing well. I am sorry to hear about your friend's eye. How come she was given no medication, if you don't mind me asking? I hope the side-effects begin to ease off soon and become more manageable, even if it takes a while for them to fully wear off.

I job for about 1 to 2 hours. Gotta lose weight you know.
But yeah,I'm also seeing some Roll20 streams from time to time,being a avid D&D player(yes,I'm a nerd).

Holy crap, my nearly 17 gig download's finally in the home stretch and I think I can be done with Soulstorm by morning.

No clue what I'm playing next, but DAMN will it feel good to play something else.

A nerd and a Satanist, if the reports are to be believed. Definitely qualifies you for a visit from the Inquisition :-).

I never understood how they could get Satanism from D&D? But that's not the first time such accusations have been thrown at relatively harmless things.

Because it has demons in it and you can make a pact.If you're chaotic evil or in a campaing that I made, made the deal to save a team member.
But mostly because some kid shot himself in a cave, they've discovered that he played D&D and thought because of that he commited suicide, not because of him suffering from depression or anything.
Good thing that these people never heard of Shin Megami Tensei,or we would've really had a problem.

Well, you have to start with a base level of crazy. That's the starting point.

Once you're sufficiently crazy, you can start doing things like making connections in your whackjob looney brain that someone saying "I'm casting a fireball!" is the same as them saying, "Satan is my dark lord and master."

Also, when you're a frigging nutcase, you can start thinking that demons are real, so a game with made-up demons in it can really mess with you.

That wouldn't be a problem, it'd be a laugh riot.

Finding the right crowd of fucking lunatics and telling them that if they type the wrong thing into their computer they can actually summon a demon right next to them? That would be hilarious. And some people are so far gone that they'd actually believe it. =)

I completely forgot your last sentence, sorry. I think I'm a little too tired.

My mother is doing very well, thank you. Provided she does not regress during this next week, then they will allow her to come home. She will need some walking sticks for a while, and it will be a month or so before she is starting to become her old self again, but at least she will be at home and not stuck in a hospital bed.
I still think that if those wackjobs hear about SMT,they'll want everything about the series to be banned.

Demon worshipping you say, I guess this nerd game is evil after all. :-)

So basically anything with the devil or demons in should be classed as Satanism. And to think I used to enjoy playing Diablo 2. :-)

Good day, Crow! How are you doing?

The side-effects are intensified symptoms caused by the bloody thing 'protesting" against all the radiation it took; the doctors told her to be prepared for them. She was not given any medication because there's no treatment for them; she wasn't taking any meds either all the time she was waiting for the procedure to be approved and scheduled. If things get unbearable she's to contact the doctors, but otherwise it's "you have to be patient and tough it out".
The procedure itself was just the first step, she's got a very-very long way to go still. Basically, the symptoms will start to ease off noticeably when he tumour starts to shrink, but that's going to take a while too - her first follow up MRI is not scheduled for another six months, that's how slow the progress is.

EDIT: Just read your post about your mother. Sounds quite promising, fingers crossed things keep improving and she's home in another week or so.

So, how's your mother doing?
I had no idea, I'm so sorry to hear that. I really do hope that things will improve for her and that the treatments will be successful. It must be nice for her to have friends such as you with her to offer her support.

As for my mother, I answered you here. I'm not sure why I forgot it the first time.

Good evening. =)

Doing okay here, thank you.
Working on wrapping some stuff up when I'm not dozing off like a big narcoleptic. -laughs-

How's your day been?
My day has been awesome, thank you. It's been my first day off work for over a month, so it was quite an enjoyable day. I spend most of the morning just cuddled up in bed with my partner in the warmth before I did some fun stuff in the afternoon. I'm currently tying to get my brain to shut off so I can get some sleep, as I am up for work in less than 4 hours. I think having the extra sleep in this morning has made my mind think it's not time to sleep. :-)
