AgentBirdnest: What should I say? What can I say? Is it appropriate to have "normal" conversations? Is it okay to say "good morning"?
[/inner thoughts]

Good morning.
Hmm. What should you say? Whatever feels right.
What can you say? Pretty much anything. Just thought of "milk chocolatey briarnuts". Not even sure if briarnuts are a real thing, but the sounds are fun to say together.
Is it appropriate to have normal conversations? No. Everything is hand signs from now on. (Well, just as soon as we can all decide on what "normal" means...)
Is it okay to say good morning? Well, you could start off with telling people to go fuck themselves, but odds are someone'll get offended. ;)

CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

Doing all right here. A bit tired, but nothing some more coffee can't fix.

Tolerance when the ideology is either used as an excuse, or it flat-out says that it's okay to harm people under certain conditions, is begging for problems.
But odds are pretty small that I'll ever see that 95 percent of all organized religions ban, no matter how many people get slaughtered as a result.

Also, hope you're feeling better today, and that you and your partner were able to enjoy her birthday.
Glad to hear you are doing all right.

I don't think that will solve much, you take away religion and we will just find something else to kill each other over. It is our nature. I think much of the problem these days is that our laws are written as though we are all civilised, yet many people and cultures are far from civilised, and these laws do nothing to stop them because people are too scared to be heavy handed and do what is needed to protect the majority and those who do treat other people with respect.

I am feeling good, thank you. A few of my health problems are scaring me a little as they are showing similar signs to when I collapsed previously and nearly died, but I am hoping they will go away soon and it is just a last little thing before I start to recover. At least I hope so.

My partner really enjoyed her birthday, it was a great day and was just what she needed to cheer her up after her family have been giving us both a lot of cap recently.
Good morning everyone

CARICATUREKILB: I wonder what Our Most Wonderful Leader, Davey Cameron MP has to say over these attacks?
Probably the usual condemnation, followed by some stupid act of unity. Then followed by nothing, as politicians seem unwilling to do the unpopular thing and take action to protect people from such extremists. But then the EU's human rights and other laws does a lot to limit what the different governments can do. The usual case of politicians doing what is safe for them rather than what needs to be done.

AgentBirdnest: Depends on each person, I guess. For example, we have quite a lot of (significantly smaller, of course) mass shootings here, and I can never get used to them. It always puts me in an odd mood for a day or four. Others can brush them off and act "normal" right after hearing the news.

Good morning. *bigger hug*

Having some nastier-than-usual stomach problems that I'm pretty sure are side effects of medication I had to take. Other than that, and the news, I'm doing fine.
I can understand that. People just process things differently. I tend to be the kind of person to act normal, which doesn't mean the things don't bother me or anything like that, but I just tend to carry on as normal. I hope you will feel better about it soon, and that your mood will be a little better as the days go on.

Sorry to hear about your stomach problems. Do you want me to kick it in the nuts? Fingers crossed the medication won't cause you too many problems.

That is good to hear.

I am doing okay, a few bad health stuff at the moment that has me a little worried, but doing okay. I have some of the day to myself while my partner gets a few things done, so just a quite morning for me. Do you have anything nice planned?

Edit: I can understand people not feeling too good today. Sad news often effects people, even if it does not happen to them or even in their own country. Such barbaric and cowardice acts like those in Paris are shocking for most people.

Yeah... it's just me of course... but listening to certain world leaders talk about what happened in Paris got me to think that that's what they were supposed to say, no matter what follows, or doesn't... maybe I'm just reflecting my lack of enthusiasm for believing that the world peace is available for us by these said leaders...

on happier note: found a lovely holiday present for my mum, sent it through amazon.co.uk to her gift wrapped. I hope she'll like it.

oh and good morning all! hope things will go better for you all and the rest of the world!

Well, you've got me smiling, and it doesn't feel wrong :-)

...
What feels right to say? ... I know violence happens all over the world all the time. It feels so horrible to say, but most of the time it is "too far to care". When something happens in your backyard, or in the backyard of a good friend, and in a culture that is more similar to your own, it feels different. I think that's probably human. I'm so sad for the people of France, but it also makes me realize again just how much violence there is in the entire world. I'm trying really hard not to just say "fuck humanity." You guys are still cool though, so I don't say it.

I guess we have to wait and see if those same leaders actually do something about it, or if yet again it is just all talk.

That is good to hear, I hope she will love her present.

How are you today?

Thanks. A nice kick in the stomach-nuts sounds good right about now. Eating makes it worse, and not eating makes it worse... soooo... go for it. It might work :-p

True, it'd only work to a point. Humans are a combo of both self-destructive and destructive in general.
In the end, laws won't work either. It's just another mess that will have to come to a head, then be dealt with more conclusively.

I hope so too. Very happy to hear that your partner had such a good time. =)

*Take a big run up, all the way from the Canadian border to Agent.*

*Starts to run towards Agent and kick him…*

I will update you when I finally make it all the way to Moomin Valley. It is a long way to run from the Canadian border. :-)
