Morning all. It's another frosty morning in the Great White North. And by frosty, I mean lot's of frost, not cold, although it's a bit cold this morning as well (-17C). We don't normally have anywhere near this much hoar frost around here. Usually the damn wind blows too much for it to hang on.

I don't like bananas. My wife loves them.

AgentBirdnest: I won't let anyone be in the same room with me if they are eating a banana.
avatar
Tekkaman-James: My wife is respectful. She only eats them when I'm not home and she throws the banana peels in the outside waste-bin so I don't have to smell them. Other people may not be as tolerant of my quirk, but they don't know me as well as my wife, so I can't really blame them.
Hey! See my new username? It's EndreWhiteMane! O__O

AgentBirdnest: I've just always hated bananas. Even banana flavored candy. Just... ick. My physician suggested I should eat it because it contains natural serotonin, which was depleted after taking that new drug yesterday. Or something like that...
Doing good today though :-)
Ah, can understand that even though i disagree with you. :p I like bananas (and fruit in general).

Good to hear you're doing better and got your prescription. :)

avatar
Treasure: I agree! But then I haven't seen the latter,
avatar
j0ekerr: Grumble grumble... kids these days, don't know about proper period dramas... I'm off to watch some episodes of the original twilight zone.
I'm busy watching british detective series. :P

avatar
Tekkaman-James: Personally, I find bananas revolting. I can't even stand the smell of them. This is a hard quirk to have in my house as my wife absolutely loves them. Vile fruit.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Shame people can't switch taste buds, I adore bananas but can't have them because my blood potassium runs high. To me a nice ripe banana is a good dessert. ;)
Mhmm... a good banana split is delicious.

Nice photo, shame there are so many wires in this world though. ;)

Love banana splits! Always make them hold the pineapple and add more strawberry though. ;)
Love pineapple but not on ice cream.

Again, my name is Tekkaman-James, but I am glad that you are so excited to see me. Now, might you actually share what this supposed "new username" is, donsanderson?

AgentBirdnest: No, that would probably just ruin the ice-cream. I'd probably never enjoy ice-cream again.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Try Here.
Thanks. She mentioned turkey, seafood, and a couple others (after I ate the damn banana.) Luckily, I love turkey, and we buy a lot of it.

Those particular wires are good - they're the ones that bring power to my house :) I don't normally notice them, but right now they are very visible because of the frost.

The weight of the frost has been wreaking havoc with the power lines. In the last week we've had at least a half dozen power outages, one of them for about 8 hours. My wireless internet has also been less than reliable.

j0ekerr: Personally, the bane of my tongue are chickpeas. Can't eat the bloody things.

Beans are a close second.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Agree on the chickpeas, gross little things. Most beans I love, both green and dried. My worst is olives, always taste like something that's spoiled to me. ;)
I love olives. And i usually eat them as a snack, just eat them right out of the jar. Same with pickles.

I'm odd (if you hadn't noticed), I don't like a whole banana as is, but love it in other things, even if it's just chopped up in fruit salad. I'm not sure what it is about the flavour of a whole banana that I dislike, but that I can tolerate when mixed with other things.

I never used to like chickpeas much, but they have grown on me recently. Beans too.
I'm not a fan of olives at all, just don't like the flavour of them.

One of my cats LOVES olives. If he hears you open that olive jar, you better be prepared to share because he's getting some regardless. It's adorable.

Ha! Well played, sir. :P

Wow, we have ice pull down power lines but this is the first time I've heard of frost doing it. You Canadians have all the fun. ;)

Love pineapple but not on ice cream.
Don't think i've had one with pineapples before.

Do you prefer chocolate or caramel sauce though?
I prefer chocolate, but don't mind caramel.

Admit it, you just like torturing Tekkaman-James by keeping it a secret. ;)

My parents dog loves bananas and expect you to share it with him.

Usually chocolate, goes very well with vanilla ice cream, caramel is good too, usually along with chocolate. ;)
TJ and I have been playing this little 'game' for a while now, started with me not getting one of his jokes. :-)
Edit: My dog likes bananas but LOVES apples. ;)

green beans are fine, stir-fried with bacon they are a treat. It's the dry white ones I can't stand.

Olives, depends. The gordal variety, the larger purple ones are way too sour, I'm not a fan, the smaller bright green ones, manzanilla, are quite fine though, a tasty pickle.

I also enjoy anchovies.
