CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)
Can't complain here, taking a break from silly torture to start a House of Cards rewatch before season 3 hits.
Dear gods, I love Kevin Spacey. Actually considering buying a Call of Duty game some day just because he's in it.
How's your day going so far?
adaliabooks: Still lazing about in bed... so probably too early to tell :)
Never seen House of Cards, not generally much of a TV watcher. Although we recently got a Now Tv box which lets us get all the catch up stuff and watch it on our nice big TV. Which takes out the whole "I have to be available at a certain time on a certain day to watch this show" aspect of watching a series on Tv and has made us watch a few things we might not otherwisd have watched.
I don't think I've played any CoD games, I'd fallen out of love with FPSs by the time they were the next big thing and they have never appealed to me. That and they never use to release them on Nintendo consoles so even if I'd wanted to I wouldn't have neem able to play them.
I just watch it through Netflix. They make the show and I pay the subscription, so I can watch it whenever I want.
I'm not surprised that you're enjoying the added flexibility. Once you use on-demand programming primarily, it's pretty frigging hard to go back to shifting your schedule around, just to watch a particular TV show every week.
Yeah, I never got into the COD/Halo/Battlefield/whatever either.
After Doom and Quake, that was it. Last FPS I played was Half-Life 2, and I don't really feel like I'm missing much.
(Well, I kinda want to get Doom and Quake again...-laughs-)
Nintendo always seems to be the odd man out when it comes to that genre. I know they've gotten certain things for the Wii and what-not, but whenever I get a Wii (or far more likely, a Wii U), FPS's won't be the reason why I do so.
toxicTom: Good morning and a nice and calm Sunday to everybody.
My wife is watching Disney's Snowwhite - and OMFG, that is some awesome animation. It's a real shame everyone except for Studio Ghibli has gone 3DCG.
Also the "remastered/redone" German voiceover is gruesome. Even my wife switched to English after a few minutes.
Good morning. =)
It's pretty calm here (still the middle of the night, so that helps), hopefully you and yours are having a similarly tranquil morning.
I don't know a great deal about animation, but your description of that voice acting is making me think of some absolutely abysmal dubbing I've heard on gods-frigging-awful anime once upon a time.
