I made some breakfast, fiddled with the downloader wanting to freeze, put my latest batch of patches away.

And now I'm calling Super Meat Boy a dirty rotten whorebag (and no, I don't even know what a whorebag would entail on a logical level, it's just what came out of my mouth as he died) since running music knocks the downloader speed to about 20 percent of max.

Can't imagine why you haven't just bounded to the kitchen to make some. You should be tons of energy after sleeping maybe an hour and a half to two hours?

Well hello everyone, long time no see!

January's been a nightmare, but the tax return has finally been filed and normal spending is now resumed! The only things I've bought here since Christmas are the Avenum remake, Montague's Mount because it was super cheap and of course Grim Fandango. :-) It's just unfortunate that the first weekend deal I can actually take full advamtage of is mostly movies. :-( And here I thought the second 'G' in GOG stood for 'Games'!

So, anyway, there's no way I'm reading back 259 pages - what have I missed?

Yes, I'm not exactly a huge fan of the whole movie thing either. If I'm going to watch documentaries, they tend to be about things other than video games. If I want a low budget movie, Netflix has tons of them all the time.

Thinking GOG might break out something different in a couple weeks if they decide to do a sale linked to Valentine's Day. Hopefully it'll be better then.

As for what you've missed? It's a free-for-all, everything under the sun gets mentioned sooner or later.
But at the same time, you really don't have to play catch up with every single entry to jump right back in. =)

It's nice to see all the familiar faces around here (well, avatars anyway!)

It's getting close to my first year anniversary here, as I signed up on Valentine's Day last year just to snag the free copy of Dungeon Keeper Gold. I had no intention of sticking around, but here I am a year later and 297 games down the line. That is, I have 297 games on my shelf but I've bought WAY more than that for gifts and giveaways. Just a shame Grim Fandango came along a little too early to be my big 300! :-)

I've also only just noticed that Witcher 3 has been put back to May - don't make me regret my pre-purchase, CDPR! (jk - if this were an indie release I'd be worried but this is Witcher 3 godammit!)

Even if GOG doesn't put any special event on around Valentine's Day, in a couple of months we'll hopefully get Spring Insomnia 2 to keep us occupied for a few days.

Don't Valentine's Day video game sales seem a little ironic? Let's give single males even more reasons to NOT celebrate that particular holiday.

Good afternoon all! (or whatever time it is where you are)

How is everyone?

Things are pretty good here, had a good day at the market today, nothing ground breaking but enough to reassure me that when things get busy again we will be fine. So I'm pleased, a little less worried about money then I have been for quite a while and that can only be a good thing.

Got some paperwork to do, and then a choice between LoX or programming noise generation... and surprisingly that's a much more difficult choice than it would appear...
